Because it lacks understanding of what Tolkien wrote , and if you keep pretending that I don’t know what narrative means, that just shows you have no interest in hearing what others have to say.
You are only seeing what do you want to see. Because it doesn’t fit a woke agenda. You’d rather project current day values instead of bothering to delve into what someone else has constructed.
It makes no sense to arbitrarily interject skin color into characters as if it’s just some style or fashion choice.

I’ve asked you multiple times about the narrative changes and you keep talking about things that aren’t the narrative.

I’ve barely seen a anything. You’re the one making huge statements about a show you haven’t seen.

It’s just not that big a deal though. It’s not that important to the narrative or the themes.

No, he's using definitions correctly and you are not.
You are using the word narrative to describe changes in characterization.
Story Narrative is: character X goes on a journey and along the way character X defeats a troll, a wizard, and a dragon.
Characterization is: Character X is a tall white male, good with a sword and smart in battle. He is of a culture of all white people.
Characterization is the representations within a narrative.
If we change character X to: Character X is a tall black male, good with a sword and smart in battle. He is amongst a culture of mixed race people. Character X goes on a journey and along the way character X defeats a troll, a wizard, and a dragon.
The overall story narrative has not changed, only the characterizations.
Most people are not so invested in all white characterizations that it permanently removes their ability to enjoy the story narrative if that particular element is slightly altered.

You can’t say what I’m wrong about.
Because you’re a fricking moron.

They are the narrative, you just don’t want to accept the answer.
I don’t need to see the show because I already know Tolkien and what he wrote. And why.
I just love how you can’t grasp any of it.

I see JA Bayona directed the first two episodes. He did a Jurassic Park movie right? Maybe we’ll see a balrog or something like that pretty quick

Please, the only way you commies can own someone is shooting them in the head because reality never obliges you of your delusions.

Really?
You have?
Just like that?
They released less than 10 minutes of anything and you know it’s an abomination?
All I have to do is listen to them talk. Who am I going to believe: them who are very openly telling me what they’re doing to the world Tolkien created, or a lying racist commie cocksucker like you and Bronc? When people tell you who they are, believe them.

You guys are getting dangerously close to deserving a ban TBH. We can’t even discuss the series for all the flaming.
Posted on 8/30/22 at 9:01 pm to Bronc
But that would never happen. Because not anywhere in Tolkien’s world does that exist. So it is a moot point.
You keep trying to make these things happen when they can’t happen.
There is no “updating“ what Tolkien wrote. He wrote exactly what he meant to. End of discussion.
You can pretend all you want, but as soon as you leave the world which he created, it becomes nothing but a grift. A bad fanfic.

He wrote LOTR to own the libs, of course.

The great irony in this kind of discussion, of course, is that LOTR was very much a liberal, hippie thing in the late 60's and early 70's.
Dirty, filthy commies would write "Frodo Lives!" in graffiti in all kinds of places, often right next to some slogan opposing the Vietnam War. LOTR was very much a countercultural phenomenon.
There’s a difference between hippies and the violent Antifa type that Bronc and Sammy are big fans of.
