I'd argue that the emergence of all of these movies is a testiment to how amazing the original trilogy was.

It wasn't overcrowded and bogged down with a stupid nonsense. Every scene is great and even the minor characters are still loved 40 years later.

I guarantee you in 40 years people will still know who Vader and Luke and Yoda and Han are. No one will give a shite about characters made in the prequels or sequels because they're all made by hack corporate committee and jammed into unoriginal over bloated cgi shite fests.
