Weirdly, I always thought Pitt was pretty terrible in this movie.

"...fight between Hector and Achilles was one of the best movie fights of the last 20-30 years."
I really liked the movie, but I respectfully disagree about the fight scene. I know all fight scenes are choreographed, but this scene looked to choreographed. Eric Bana just did not move very well. It is not even close to the real best fight scene over the last 30 yrs, which is Liam Neeson vs Tim Roth, in Rob Roy.

The only issue is he chose to use a different score that doesn’t fit as well as theatrical.

He should have gone with Gabriel Yared’s rejected score for the DC. For whatever reason the studio hated it and told Peterson to fire Yared and go with someone else. If you haven’t heard it, it’s on YouTube and it’s awesome. James Horner ripped a lot of motifs from that score into the one that made it into the film.

Ironically, Brad Pitt injured his Achilles tendon during filming resulting in a delay of several weeks.

It sucks.

Hector was always whining.

They kept on yapping about how this war would be remembered forever but they hardly did any damn thing.

Than that damn ending. REALLY? Achilles has to die by the arrow. Period. Helen does not escape with trojans. Paris must die. I mean seriously. They had to f up the oldest and best script in history
