Let's Talk About The West Wing Seasons 5-7 (Possible Spoilers)

5-6 was not as good as 1-4 but still damn good television. Season 7 is on the same level as 1-4.

I enjoyed all of them but I found my interest in the actual White House storyline would wane for long stretches of season 6 and 7. A lot of it I think had to do with CJ being much more prominent after becoming chief of staff. I really liked her character, I just didn't think it was strong enough to be the de facto lead character for that part of the show.

Josh leaving to go find "his guy" and the Santos campaign were fantastic though. I loved how they did such a good job with Varrick and Santos that I would have been happy with either winning the election.
