No way he spent a mill. This was the early/mid 90s, man. If I had to guess, I'd say he spent most (almost all?) of it. But not all of it.
I always loved how stupid and non-involved the adults/parents were in that movie though. So your kid starts talking about some random older man who gave him a job, at ten years old, and you don't even care enough to meet him or check him out? Nice work, parents.
