That said, it's a crime against humanity that Fallon and Daly are allowed to live while Coinan is fired.
Agreed. The only late night guy better or in the same league as Conan was Carson. That's it.
Johnny not whiny Daly.

I agree. 30 minutes for Leno is dumb. I don't think they would get a quality show out of it.

But you're entitled to your opinion. Other people probably said the same shite to me about Conan when his show was new and only us latenight drunk college students were getting it.
I liked Conan back in the day, but since his transition, he hasn't been the same. Hell, I would almost venture to say he hasn't been the same since Andy left the show.
However, to your point:

Well, either that crowd (your crowd/ Conan crowd) doesn't like him as much now... or there is a shitload more of baby boomers that don't like Conan/ prefer Leno. And people did say the same shite about Conan, and just like Fallon isn't ready to move up anytime soon... neither was Conan.
They never should have made the big switch. It should have stayed Leno, Conan, and then Fallon not Daly. The old crowd, the not so old crowd, and the college crowd. That is the way this shite works.

Conan should open his last show with a giant leap, followed by puppet strings and nipple sizzle. For his final bit, have The Masturbating Bear kidnap Jay Leno and duct tape him to a rolling chair. The Masturbating Bear will bring the tied up and gagged Jay Leno on stage in front of a roaring audience. He will then throw him into that stupid fricking Green Car and smash it to pieces with a baseball bat. After every window is completely smashed in, douse it with gasoline and toss a lit Zippo behind his back like the true bad arse that he is.
Just imagine Conan doing his Leno impersonation right in Leno's face just before he lights him on fire. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

I watched Conan all the way through college and I think his later night format is great. The older audience doesn't care for him though. I know my dad doesn't care for Conan. I prefer Conan.
I think Ferguson is very funny, but he will never have the early slot because his interviewing style is very different from Leno and Letterman. If you saw the night he had Morgan Freeman on, you'll know what I'm saying. Morgan Freeman looked like he wanted off the show about midway through.

The word now is that they want Jay at 11:30est, Conan at 12:00, followed by Fallon and Daily. They'll all be pissed, but they'll probably stay.
Conan's show will still be The Tonight Show.

I like Kimmel. I liked jay and thought it was suicide for NBC to put him on prime time. They saved money and that's all they cared about at the time. I don't like Conan in the Tonight Show spot. He's OK and he's better with Andy. Letterman's monologues are so damn short nowadays. That's what I loved about J. Carson was the monologue.
I don't know how it is where you may live but the local ABC affiliate puts Kimmel on at 11:30 CST, a half hour after the network puts it out. We get a half hour of The Insider crap.

At that point, why keep Fallon and Daly? Carson Daly's show isn't even in front of a live studio audience.

They're just bumping them back a half an hour. Daly's show doesn't cost crap to produce. That's why he's still there.

Tmz is reporting that NBC execs told conan he can choose to either move back 30 minutes or leave the network all together. Leno would get a full hour if conan decides to leave. They cite sources that say conan is extremely pissed because he had no warning this was coming.

It does suck bigtime for him. The payout won't be everything, but take it and then go do a show on another network, and beat Leno is his own time slot.
