I don't understand why they turned Tandy into such a retard. He was always socially awkward but well meaning so that's where the laughs came from. He wasn't a complete idiot. Now it's like he's from outer space or something with no knowledge of any basic shite.

Now that have Tandy saying 'golly gee his names right there on the backpack. It's Jansport!" -"no tandy that's the name of the backpack company". Then he kept going on and on about how it might not be a kid it could be a Benjamin buttons type situation. I mean holy shite I would have killed this guy a long arse time ago.

I agree with that actually, and meant to say something in my above post about it.

They have completely changed him, which would be fine if it fit, but he is almost literally retarded like you said. One of the best things about the show originally was that Phil was an a-hole and was pretty selfish, and that's why it was funny because he was having to adjust to people again. But now he's so overly nice and caring that it all feels like a total act, and it's become annoying. And then the retarded shite like you mentioned. Benny Buttons is kinda funny, but they played it like he literally thought that was possible. Same with the Jansport thing. It's one thing if Phil is trying to make a joke and get some Booms, but for him to actually believe that shite is maddeningly annoying.

it's been like that just since they moved to san jose. back in malibu he was still somewhat his old self. the big mouth billy bass alarm was hilarious.

ever since san jose he's been acting like a little kid, a full retard, or like i said someone from outer space with no knowledge of basic shite. He's like Amelia Bedelia in a T Rex suit.

You're right he used to be kinda selfish, kinda an a-hole, but still a nice guy but that just wanted to get laid; which made for the funny.

that's why i'm hoping we get something good out of the kirsten wiig storyline. that was a really good episode.

It's getting stupid just having people magically appear constantly. So they're the last people on Earth and there happens to be a kid in the woods where they're hanging out. Doesn't that mean there are probably thousands of people out there, they just can't communicate with each other? At least some of them have logical explanations as to why they suddenly appear, were out at sea, in space, or in a bunker. But now there's just a bunch of random people everywhere, kind of kills the whole concept.

So now we've just boosted forward 7 months wirh zero explanation?

The kid is talking. Gayle & Erica are lovers. Melissa isn't nuts anymore.
WTF.

I was wondering if my DVR missed something. "She Drives Me Crazy" and the baby delivery system were worth it.

Weird episode.

I thought Carol got a fake baby bump or something at first based on her jealousy from the last episode.

It even showed all of that on the "previously on tLMoE" intro to the episode.

At first I thought it was a dream, with Carol's baby bump and then Jasper talking like NBD. Then it never was shown as a dream. Then Melissa is all completely normal?

Don't get me wrong, I would much rather her be back to normal, because it took a LOT of fun/energy out of the show. But at least some sort of explanation would be nice. Or at least some acknowledgement of the show progressing forward so much. Are we supposed to just assume that Melissa and Jasper laughing together in the cop car made her magically turn normal again?

I've spent the last couple of weeks catching up on this entire season. Last night's episode was the first one I've watched live. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how I missed several episodes. The 'Previously on' clips finally convinced me it was a time jump.

Tandy and Carol become very annoying when binging the show. His obsessive interaction with the boy was excruciating.

The show really suffered without the Asian guy. He was able to keep Tandy in check and provide deadpan humor with his normalcy.

The quirky nature of this show is probably better viewed in doses instead of binging, but Melissa going crazy, Todd going crazy obsessing over her, Mrs. Ted Danson in the elevator, and Asian plane crash killed the group dynamic and allowed for Tandy and Carol to take over the show in a bad way.

at this point, I would rather just watch Todd pop and lock for 30 minutes.

I agree with most of that. And what is sad is that I have stuck with the show and would really like to see what kind of ending they have in mind. But I am not sure we will get another season of it, and that sucks. I do still enjoy the show, but its quality has declined for sure.

I do agree that Todd poplocking is amazing though. That was the only good thing about Melissa going nuts.

I still watch the show, but I'm not sure where they are going to go with it.

I like how Will Forte pokes fun at the 6 month skip between last episode and this episode and how it's been a roller coaster ride but they we all there so no need to recap it....

My feeling exactly. Every time I used to recommend this show, this is literally my pitch to the letter.

The finale was the best episode in a while IMO.

Very good finale. The "booms" were solid.

Mad now that it's over & we have to wait.

Also still not liking the timeline jump they made with zero explanation. Especially with Todd using the dust buster for Lewis's ashes. Pretty sure those would be gone...
