Spike Lee was crying on Inside the Actors studio about the studio not funding Malcolm X. So he had to do what he had to do. He went out and begged for money...from his millionaire friends. Not from the extras on set.

Cosby, Oprah, Jordan, Magic, etc all gave him money to finish that movie knowing they'd never get their money back.

Braff's got Portman and Parsons IN THE MOVIE he's using to sell this kickstarter. Portman shits dollar bills and has an Oscar. She can get that movie funded for him before I eat dinner tonight. Parsons is a star on one of the highest rated shows on tv. He's got $2 million in his sock drawer.
