Me and the wife went Saturday night and we both enjoyed it. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The story moved at a good pace, the acting wasn't bad at all, the action and fight scenes were great, Gal Gadot is gorgeous. What's not to like?

and it felt like a comic book movie, the comedy was great and not forced, the story had the perfect layout... it was just all around an amazing comic book movie. I hope this is the future of DC, and not a one off "good" flick

Disclaimer: I thought Suicide Squad was ok, not amazing, but ok, and not as good as any Marvel movies... minus like Ant-Man or IM3 - Wonder Woman was up there with Dr. Strange and Winter Soldier

Hollywood should take note. Apparently it's possible to make a movie with a badass female lead without making it look like a feminist propaganda film in which all male characters are evil or buffoons. Who knew?

Actually, this should probably be enough to knock this bullshite argument out for good.

But, it won't.

Except for the hero's sex and origin, the plot, the villain, the setting, and the ending, they're basically the same movie!

The best part of the movie was the chemistry between Chris Pine and Gal Gadot. They interacted like real people and the characters had respect for each other. Even though she was overpowered, the movie did a good job of not simply having Pine play the damsel in distress type role. Both work together well and it was a great movie all around. DC should take note that these are character driven movies and not just reasons to see a boss fight.

FYI: Geoff Johns, the man now in charge of DC knows this, it's why his favorite DC character is actually Aquaman... so like I said, I just hope this isn't the only good DC movie, I hope this is the beginning of something great

Yeah I'm not seeing the rip off of First Avenger.

Pretty much every superhero movie of this era is "Stop the weapon!" Hers was at least stop the war.

Now if she makes out with Steve Trevor V, great great great grand nephew of her Steve Trevor, then I'll raise an eyebrow.

But we're probably in for Trinity shipping and her getting the Batdick.

It's a rule, outside comics Diana always goes for the Batdick if Batman is present. Look it up. Look. It. Up.

As a writer, Johns' forte was unscrewing what other writers had screwed up.

He was able to give Hal Jordan his good name back after the Parallax debacle and made some sense out of the mess that was Post-Crisis Hawkman's history. If anyone can revive the Clark Kent character and bring Chris Pine back into the DCEU without it seeming like a cheat or it diminishing previous films, it's Johns.

As long as we get the best hate filled and fueled villain there is...

The time he taunted Arthur after killing his son...

The time he made an underwater city of blacks to make Aquaman look like a racist...

The time he faked autism and experimental treatments from Arkham to get close enough to stab and taunt Arthur...

That time it stopped being about Aquaman killing his dad, or Aquaman swimming by frolicing with dolphins while he was getting raped by pirates and calling for help, or autism, or whatever bullshite he made up this time and simply tells the truth...

Not bad for an origin story. I thought the first two acts were okay at best, but the third act made up for it. 8/10

I think you're on to something here. Just need to switch it around. You meant The first 2 acts were great. The third act was a little rushed and that is what needed to be a tad better.

Supposedly, he was supposed to be Trevor's grandson (or, great grandson); however, that would mean that Trevor was married during WW, or at least had a kid?

Unless...can't Flash frick with time? Could he not go back in time and snatch Trevor right when the plane explodes and bring him to the present? It could be the reverse fish out of water.

What if Steve Trevor had a twin brother under this scenario who also served during World War I? Let's say he has a son and names him after his brother to honor him (Steve Trevor II).

His grandson (III) and great-grandson (IV) would also be named to honor him, making Steve Trevor IV the great-grand nephew of the original.

Many similarities. Both leads are good hearted. Both have a sense of duty to humanity. Both main villains are German scientists who are willing to kill their comrades to make a point and both took drugs to make them stronger.

I thought the movie was great as well.

Question on the side, is WW supposed to be bullet proof? I know she deflects bullets, but how can she demolish a church bell tower without a scratch and yet still get killed by a bullet?
