I get a Bloodline / Dexter feel. Maybe because Miami and the Keys? Wife and I are loving it. New episode tonight!

After a weekend of football, just watched the new episode.
This was the definition of a filler episode. I enjoyed Vince Vaughn with a concussion, reminded me of some of his more prime comedic moments, I think he has this character nailed.
I gotta say, I have a few more criticisms now compared to last week but I'm really just enjoying the show overall. I think the writing may actually be the weakest part of the show, which is kinda surprising since it's AppleTV+ and based on a novel.
We're still having a good time tuning in each week. I will say as far as the story goes, I haven't really cared much for the island characters. This is a shame since almost half the runtime is dedicated to them, including the most recent episode, but yeah the island drama isn't for me.

I'm three episodes in now and liking this pretty good. I think I'll always have a soft spot for Vince Vaughn simply because of Dodgeball and Wedding Crashers.
The narrator is a little annoying in this. Normally don't mind a narrator but this guy is just simply stating the obvious in every scene.

Caught all the way up. Liking this show a lot more than I thought I would.
Decent amount of dumb decisions being made by pretty much every character that almost makes you have to have some suspension of belief, but still entertaining. It's not taking itself too seriously. Kind of want to read the book it's based off of.
