Just bought tickets to Watch the Skies (2022)

First AI dubbed feature film. Swedish sci-fi. *Released in 2022, but I guess 'remastered' using AI tech. Using actors own voices and 'magically' dubbed with computer assistance to sync words with sound.

Thing is, they’ll probably be able to dub any language that way. And having seen Godzilla-1 5x and then tried to watch it dubbed, can’t stand it.

Been watching a fair number of Norwegian movies and shows lately. This falls right in line with those, I suppose.

Decent flick. Definitely gives off Indie, A24 vibes, as many Nordic type films / shows do. (On par with Troll, Ragnarok on Netflix and Mortal on Amazon Prime). Or think of Godzilla - 1, without the Godzilla.
No spoilers but it does end nicely with a good twist. Of sorts.
Lead girl could be a younger Sydney Sweeney. Likeness is uncanny. (I mean her face, y'all)
But she can act.
