Aye that's it.

The Yoda and Obi-wan stuff was for sure from the movie.

The other stuff was all the books.

Honestly I think that's why I don't mind the sequel trilogy so much. I grew up with the OT and reading the books. Which even though some pissed me off like Kevin J Anderson's crap being such a linchpin it was a good set of sequels to the movies for me. Dark Horse had crazy fun shite. And all of it had a veneer of canon to it since at some point in the line it was getting approved or farmed out by Lucas.

Even the PT gave us decent books and cartoons (when it focused on the clones) here and there.

ST stuff has been mostly a novelty but at least we got Rogue One and the batshit crazy that is the Marvel Darth Vader comics.

Jeremy Jahns

This is my first time watching one of his videos. W. T. F.

People on this board crap on critics who actually write things. This dude just rambled nonsense speculation for 15 minutes. This is where people get their movie opinions?

"So, yeah, I have my thoughts." (9:46) Do you, homeboy? Do you have thoughts? Could you maybe cohere them into something that doesn't give me 2 minutes of actual content across 15 minutes of video next time?

Jeremy Jahns mainly does movie reviews on his channel but occasionally opines about topics in the entertainment industry that he is passionate about. Star Wars is one of those topics.

I like him because his tastes line up with my own. He also recognizes when a film is made for mass consumption and when it was made to win an Oscar. He takes these things into account when he ultimately scores a movie he is reviewing.

You might want to watch a few of his legitimate reviews before completely dismissing him.

It honestly amazes me how so many supposedly smart, creative, and high powered people fricked up star wars.

Prequels were fricked up because Lucas is a visionary and wanted to continue his ability to revolutionize film. It worked with the OT but failed with the CGI-heavy prequels.

New trilogy is fricked up because those high powered people have literally been quoted wanting to subvert social norms and traditions. Then they made movies that aren’t even planned out to accomplish those goals which led to an incoherent mess with TLJ.

It’s not so much amazing in the “how could they be so clueless” sense. More like it’s amazing that people could be so brash and condescending to think they can use what’s essentially a kid’s series to disrupt the patriarchy.

Jeremy Jahns is proof that in this YouTube internet age that you could be a talentless, terrible taste having, black hole of charisma douchebag nasally screeching into a microphone with a wacky editing gimmick and make a career out of it.

The guy sucks

So he banged your wife?

It's ironic you say this because undeserved success was a thing long before YouTube was ever even an idea. Long before youtubers there were (and still are) scores of people that have no discernible talent yet succeed through connections.

There wasn't a villain until the last 20 minutes. Dooku should've been brought out much earlier.

black hole of charisma

You can opine all you want, but to say the guy lacks charisma is incorrect. That's one of the reasons he has been so successful is because of his energy and charisma.
