The lunch ladies seemed a little naive, but there wasn't much they can do about the lunch. If they have to go from the guidlines they are given, what does Jamie expect them to do?

He is not a Gordon Ramsey wannabe. I've actually known about him longer than Ramsey, as the naked chef back in the late 90's. He's all about veggies and healthy eating which god knows this country needs.

Seriously, they can't find an American nutritionist to host the show?

Who are you, or anybody else for that matter, to say what is best for this country?

That would be cool if he wasn't using national tv to shame people into doing what he 'recommends.'

then don't listen. I doubt ABC execs showed up at your house and put a gun to your head. I large portion of this country (myself included) need a healthier way of life.... but, by all means, lets continue to eat cheeseburgers and act like obesity isn't a problem...

god forbid someone give some solid advice on TV... it's getting in the way of all the reality shows and played out lame comedies...

Ramsey recently said the last restaurant he complained about his meal was a Jamie Oliver restaurant.

Those fatasses need a little shame. Shame is something that needs to be brought back, in my opinion. Americans don't have enough of this or humility.

WOW!!! Maybe our Government should provide healthy school luncehs to the future of our country!!! Great idea, and it seems like such a rational concept!!! Kids eating healthy, if only for one meal a day!!! Oh wait. You aren't American? Well then frick you and your fancy high-falutin European ideas.

I just watched this, and obviously you didn't even watch the show. He didn't try to shame anyone. He looks passionate, and honest about what he is trying to do. He wasn't condescending, and he wasn't insulting. He was telling the truth, and its a hard thing for some people to hear.

One thing ... one angle... that I think he could have really used to great effect with the people of Huntington, WV, is ...

"What would your grandmother think of this food? Would she be proud to put it on her table and feed it to her grandchildren?"

Right. There are not right or wrong answers. Cultural relativism much?
