They're not done, but 99 to 100 upvotes is fun

The only likable lead left is Shang Chi and you aren’t building anything around him.

There are some ingredients there to make a really solid batch of Avenger movies (but no one should pretend they’ll be on the same level as Infinity War and Endgame). I just don’t know if Marvel and Disney get what they screwed up and are willing to fix it.

They need to slow down and focus on quality. Movies like Quantumania and The Marvels isn't going to cut it anymore.

It’s gonna be Chris Pratt as Starlord.

If they don't nail Fantastic Four, it's over.

Making silver surfer female is an early, terrible sign.

Another Spider-Man should do well since all his friends don’t know him

They just need to shelve the Avengers for 5 years or so. Send them off planet. The actors have aged out of their roles and you can't just recast without a break.

There are many other heroes in the Marvel Universe to explore.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a marvel/DC crossover at some point. But they have to bring in more likable characters like Ironman and captain America

Six movies grossed $100M at the box office last year, and Brave New World, a film that had a lot of backlash, just did as well. Almost doubled that. No, Marvel is not done.

We can talk about how the quality of the movies has dipped, but they're still making a ton of money. As long as that's the case, they aren't done.

Technically they could still use Pratt (Star Lord), Hemsworth (Thor), and Holland (Spider-Man) - though those last 2 are problematic. They are still alive though in the MCU though, so it's not impossible.

I mean, an Avengers movie featuring those three would work. I think the only good thing from The Marvels, Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel) along with Hailee Steinfeld (Kate Bishop) could make for an interesting group. Throw in Simu Liu (Shang Chi) and Anthony Mackie (Falcon Cap) and you have multiple power levels, youth and experience, and your most charismatic people on hand (that aren't part of the Thunderbolts).

I mean, that casting MIGHT suck, but those are probably the most charismatic ones out there.

Now if they could Ryan Reynolds to portray Deadpool I would love to see the interaction between him and Spider-Man. Their comic run together is one of the better modern series.

Bucky should have been in the new Cap movie with Sam.

We don't agree on much, but I'll back you up on this.

My original point for this Brave New World movie was that everyone wanted more Captain America. Absolutely no one was demanding more Sam Wilson.

IMHO, Kang is one of those characters who doesn’t work unless he is shown to get a major win and only loses because of his self-imposed rules of taking on people on the past.

This was done well in the comics and in the animated Avengers - Earth’s Mightiest Heroes series, but I don’t think it would have translated well to live action without a massive budget and a willingness to have a downer or bittersweet ending to establish him as a real threat.

Personally, I think the multiverse should have been used to tell more stories that didn’t have to be part of a larger connected universe.

We could get more solo Iron Man or Cap movies that just exist on their own. The connected universe was a great run but seems to limiting you more than helping

They tried passing the torch off to these current people and it’s just not sticking with the general audience.

Part of the issue is how they passed the torch.

Falcon at least made sense (he was an established friend of Cap) and the TV Show helped build some background, but unfortunately was just on Disney+ so plenty of folks never saw it.

Ironheart, OTOH, had no lead up, no backstory, no hero's journey - her origin was shoehorned into a movie not even remotely ABOUT her. We're never given a reason to like her, or given a reason to be invested in her story.
