Love to hear from folks that have had varying providers. Just sold a home and looking at other options. College football (SEC) programming in the Fall is a must.

Yes, all day long. As long as your not out in the country with satellite internet. They have SEC network and all the colleges games I needed last year.

Yes, Hulu Live is better than DirecTV or DirecTV Now.

I think YouTubeTV is even better than Hulu Live, though.

I switched from directv to Hulu live then to YouTube TV.

If price is the issue with directv, which it was for me, then you will be plenty happy with Hulu. It's different, but you get used to it. But I had all the sports I needed really. Was only missing nfl Sunday Ticket, but I stream of area games and redzone anyways, so it wasn't a big deal.

Not sure how YouTube TV is for sports since everything was shut down already when I switched.

As soon as sports are back I'll be ready to grab Hulu again if YouTube TV isn't cutting it.

That's another nice thing, no contracts. And they both offer free trials for like a week, though I think YouTube was only 3 days.

So what don’t you get that direct tv offers for hulu and YouTube tv? Sports is most important thing for me

YouTubeTV is the only one that offers MLB Network, which is big for me.

Hulu Live has almost all the other sports channels.

I really haven't had an issue with sports on YouTubeTV, but we only switched to it back in November or so. I think it was right before LSU/Bama actually.

Only sports channel missing from YouTube TV is NFL Network. They are currently in a dispute with FoxSports but are continuing to allow those in Louisiana to still have FSNO while they negotiate.

Hulu Live is good

YouTubeTV is better

Price/Content is pretty much the same, I prefer the format/guide/layout of YouTube much better

One of the great things about streamingTV is the ability to switch on a dime...I initially went with HuluLive, a couple of clicks of a button and switched to YouTubeTV...no boxes, cords, contracts, etc

It's been over a decade since I've had DirecTV but from what I understand the prices have increased while channel options have decreased.

Hulu+Live is around $60/month with all of the local channels (except for WBXH) here in the BR area. It also has all the ESPNs and the SEC network. I don't think we missed a single Saints, LSU nor Bama game (the wife went to both Bama and LSU... *sigh*) last year.

If you go Hulu and have to get a box (the Bravia tv's don't allow Hulu local channels, some sort of issue with Sony v Hulu, I believe) then get the top of the line for whatever it is. I ended up going through 2 Rokus (a stick and a box) before sucking it up and getting the top-end Roku (Ultimate Streaming or somesuch) because the frickers overheat even if they are out in the open.

Also, about once or twice a day we'll have a slight buffering issue (we have 150MB down so it's not bandwidth).

With all that said, we're spending about half for Hulu+Live than what we spent for TV service from Cox.
