style of World War Z (the. Brooks novel, not the awful film).
I would have LOVED to have a WWZ film that was actually like the novel.

The story itself was hit or miss, but a lot of the scenes and visuals were just so striking and thought provoking it makes it must watch, for me at least.
Honestly my biggest issue was the chick being completely emotionally destroyed my shite when they first left to being transformed into some completely fearless, reckless war photographer in the matter of about 48 hours.
I understand they have to speed up character development for the sake of fitting it all into a 100 minute story, but her growth was the most unbelievable thing about the movie and that says A LOT.

Overall it was not good. Decent action but the story was very hollow. No explanation of why any of it happened. Far and away the best part was with Jesse Plemons.

I think that was kind of the point because:
1) It prevents viewers from thinking this movie is about any one political issue and that it skews in favor of conservatives or liberals.
2) By not discussing the war’s motives it focuses completely on the horrors of war. No one really seemed to be the good guy. You couldn’t always tell who was on whose side, which I also think was the point and happens in civil wars with multiple warring parties. Hell that was even made explicit during the sniper scene when they asked who was shooting at them and the military guys basically said “We don’t know, but he’s trying to kill us so we’re trying to kill him.”
But everyone, regardless of side, seemed utterly ruthless. No one seemed willing to take prisoners and those who were surrendering or captured were basically shot on sight.

You’re going to have to give him a few moments to speed run the critical drinker review.

Is it not safe to say that when the primary characters of a movie are followed throughout the events that they are seen as the protagonists?
I see that you want to avoid the questions simply because you don’t like the answer.

Yes, I did forget. Because nobody answered the initial question and tried to crawfish their way out of answering.
But now I have an answer. Thanks.

Journalists are the central figure of this movie, yes or no? Just answer the question. I suppose whether or not they’re “heroes“ is open for interpretation. But before you get there, you must answer my first question which nobody seems to want to. Oh well.

Yes.

YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE DUMBASS. You have no way of interpreting it until some YouTube guy you are obsessed with comes out with a video so you can copy what he says.

Your first point was that the movie was about how awesome journalists are. So like always, you're opinion is wrong and you try and die on some weird hill defending your point on a movie or show you haven't watched. Just because the central figures of the show are journalists doesn't mean it's about how awesome they are, how is that so hard for you to grasp?

It’s a movie about Civil War through the eyes of journalists.
Don’t know why the stubbornness to not just admit that.
But I don’t care.

why would you insist on us answering such an obvious answer?
and I literally answered in my post on top of page 2

I loved the premise.
Drop the viewer in the middle of a modern Civil War by following a group of photojournalists along a road trip through the hellscape.

everybody admits that
you backpedaling away from being able to answer how the movie portrays them as "awesome' or as others have said "heroes" is hilarious

My initial reply wasn’t towards you.
