Is Brit Box worth it?

We love British shows and were thinking of signing up for Brit Box with the free trial. Is it worth it, or are most of the shows on another streaming service if you bother to hunt for them? If you like it, what are your favorite shows?

Wouldn't it just be simpler to get a FireTV and do the Troypoint/APK thing + VPN?

What makes this different than BBC America?

That's what I'm trying to discern. Is Brit Box all of the Brit shows in one place, or would I be better off with BBC America? For example, I got hooked on Endeavour recently. The first few seasons are free on Prime, but the most recent ones are only on PBS (I think). I'm trying to avoid jumping around to find shows and different seasons of shows. Thanks!

I know for one thing that BBC America shows Star Trek the next generation, which I think is weird. Because that is an exactly a BBC production.

It's worth it for me. They have lots of classic Brit comedies, and they have the BBC Shakespeare plays that they did from 1978-1985. Plus the old Sherlock Holmes series from the 1980's, Mrs Marple, Poirot, Inspector Morse, Inspector Lewis. They have a lot of content.

There are so many choices on these services with some uniqueness and some overlap. I don't need to see the latest episodes as soon as they come out. I can wait for seasons to complete before I watch. So I tend to pick a service, explore it until I exhaust it and move on to another.
I signed on to Brit Box a few weeks ago to watch a 90's miniseries called 'Our Friends in the North.' It's a well regarded series noted for helping to establish the careers of its four lead actors, Daniel Craig (has been referred to as his breakthrough role), Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), Gina McKee (the wheelchaired fiend in Notting Hill) and Mark Strong (Deep State and lots of other stuff).
Don't think it got much play here as it's a very British centric show (Although there is a surprise shout out to 3 Louisiana cities early in the first episode). The show is about the lives of four friends over 31 years. There are nine episodes running about an hour to an hour fifteen. They are named for the year in which the events occur.
I haven't explored too much yet, but they have all the available old school Doctor Who's that I'm going to look into. So is it worth it? For me it is, and will be, until it's not.

We added it to our amazon account a few months ago and love it. Plenty of content not available on pbs/netflix and a bargain @ 4.99 a month.

We did the same and are very happy. Just finished the first season of Hidden. Boy those Welsh shows are dark. But good.
