Did you watch the part after the credits?
Yeah but I was looking for more than just a punchline to a joke in a post credit scene. I mean it was clever and all but there was a heavy emphasis on this throughout the film, I felt like this should have been a major stepping stone for Tony. It sort of just came and went like having bad gas.

At least he appeared to be trying to get treatment. Though Banner may not make the best therapist.

I went with something different after deciding my original comment sucked.

The Extremis fire people were a bit to much to get in to, although I liked the way they fought. I was also a bit disappointed that the film didn't focus more on Tony's post traumatic stress from the battle in New York. The several scenes in which it came up were great, but I was looking for Tony to have some sort of resolution with that.
SPOILERS
I fvcking hated every aspect of his PTSD personally. No one goes to see Iron Man to see Stark as some shriveled up tool crying over aliens a year ago. I cringed every time he started getting emotional. Also, I try not to get too pissed about stuff like this, but you're a multi, multi, multi-billionaire genius who just had his tower destroyed by aliens, you're having constant nightmares about them AND you're the head of a former missile defense company yet you don't put a little home defense system in. When 3 random mercenary choppers flew up and just obliterated Tony's house I just started rolling my eyes, so dumb.

I liked the fight at the end with Tony finally fighting a person that was not in a suit for once, and not relying on so much of his repulsor weaponry and having to actually go fisticuffs with Killian.
I thought the exact opposite. Tony isn't Batman, he's nothing without his suit. Also, why did they make his suits total tools in this movie? He's got like 38292847 robot suits and they get absolutely skullfvcked for the most part by like 8 fire dudes.
I thought it was awful.

I not talking about Tony fighting in a suit, I just liked seeing him fighting a final villan who was not in one, after the Iron Monger and Whiplash, it was something different.

SPOILERS
Saw it last night and with the exception to a few parts I thought were funny, the entire movie/plot was awful!

Spoilers....
Ight. I enjoyed it. Definitely better than the second film no doubt. I should state I don't follow the comics but even that said I felt Kinsley was under utilized as the Mandarin. That being said though. I did enjoy Guy Pearce. He chews up any scene he is in, even next to RDJ. As far as Extremis goes, I liked it. I was hoping for more tie ins to the Avengers. I liked that they used it to advance the human race, but wanted it to be from the result of humanity knowing it wasn't alone and is "hilariously out gunned" in this expanded universe. Instead we got a a guy who wants to rule the US (and the world eventually?), while crushing a man who spurned him 12 years earlier. Would have liked to see more depth to Killian like a savior complex, doing this extremis stuff to give humanity a leg up in this new hostile universe etc.

saw it last night, it was ok. if you add together the stars of #2 and #3, you'll get the amount for which #1 was (4 stars).

Two star movie. This coming from someone who loves the character and the Marvel universe.
My observations line up with everyone else's.
But I will add this: action scenes too ludicrous and blurry.
PLEASE, film directors... Slow your shite down a little! Don't give me the ADHD audience excuse. Nobody needs action scenes that fast, shitty and over the top. Slow things down a bit and restore meaning to punches, gunshots and background activity.

I felt the movie was good, but not great. Didn't see why the set the movie during Christmas for no reason. Didn't add anything to movie, granted it didn't take anything away, but it just felt pointless.
Spoilers
Hated the twist. They left so much on the table by making the Mandarin just an actor. Also what's up with Tony just now getting the surgery to fix his heart? If the doctors could have done it before, then why wait? Why now? I could understand if they mentioned some new tech that made it possible but they didn't (at least not that I caught). Hell they could have had one of his little robot assistants do it and I would have enjoyed that from a story stand point (similar to when the robot assistant retrieved his power cell in the first movie for him).
So what the hell are they going to do with Tony now? His home is all fricked up, he doesn't have his chest power thing anymore, he's out of suits, so now what? Left it open and not in a satisfying way.

Spoilers
right after he tells the Mandarin to come get him, and gives his home address, he does nothing to defend himself. It was really lame. Meanwhile he has like 30 Iron Man suits sitting around, but instead all the time is spent getting that mark 46 going. The Mandarin being an actor sucked. I also hated that he decided to destroy every Iron Man suit he had at the end.

This really pisses me off that someone on a damned message board can come up with a better plot line in less than 5 minutes whereas the actual filmmakers can't come up with anything halfway decent in 6+ months. It's almost as if the writers wait until the night before to throw something together like a damned college kid pulling an all nighter on an english paper.

I thought it was entertaining. Better than the second one. There were several plot points that I thought kind of sucked, but Downey is such a great Stark that for me that made it worth seeing.
SPOILERS:
As for how he fixed himself, I thought he somehow adapted and improved the extremis so that he regrew/repaired his heart.
Like some other folks, I don't understand why he spent so much time screwing around with the one suit and then going all James Bond with home made weapons when he could have just ordered his spare suits.

Continued Spoilers . . .
I will say that Guy Pearce's character made me like this movie more than I should have seeing the potential. Especially after the reveal that the "Mandarin" was an actor I had to grasp onto something redeeming. I liked how Killian stepped up as the main bad guy and was digging the final fight. I thought it was awesome Tony made the mk 42 suit form around him and blow him up....only to have fricking Pepper throw a tiny bomb in front of him and blast it to kill him? I mean really? WTF

Ya know a lot of people on the internet will say something like this, but if I asked you to put the pen to paper, you couldn't do it. Your opinion comes armed with the knowledge that you have already seen the movie.
