Pixar has had some misses recently, it is good to see them get back on track. When you get down to it they make character based movies. Nail the characterizations and you've got a hit. Hopefully this trend continues because I'll be happy to watch new Pixar movies when I'm a dried up old prune.

Okay. Technically I am already a dried up old prune. More dried up.

Was your 5 year old good with Inside Out 1? If so, your kid is fine to see it.

If they make good movies with good stories I'm fine with them making money. If they make agenda-driven drivel I want them to lose a ton of money. That's the only way the ship gets corrected.

We brought our youngest who's about to turn 5. It was fine and she enjoyed it.

We saw last night at Park Theater in Estes Park, Colorado. It is the oldest theater west of the Mississippi. Cool throwback experience.

As for the movie, it did feel like a repeat of the first one, but then again, it is about a teenager. I've taught a few thousand at this point and their behavior becomes very predictable and repetitive.

I'm not that into these movies, but I see that they are quality films. My need is the portrayal of the dad's "emotions" where anger is in charge, whereas the mother is sadness. If anything, fathers are dominated by fear. Not a paralyzing fear, but a protective fear because we put it ur families' safety on our backs. Then again, men have been portrayed as grown children for so long that it is becoming a self fulfilling prophecy.
