First episode is a slow burn.
We are currently 4 episodes in and it has its hooks in us. Very compelling.
Is the author a good read?
We are wondering if it is better to read the books before watching his other 2 shows on Netflix.

Wife and I think the show is great. Yea, there's a lot of filler but I don't think any of it is wasted. Good watch

This is a terrible show.
It does draw you in and keep you engaged.
I’m actually thinking it might have been AI generated.

If this is the way the FBI operates, we are all in trouble.
I was expecting the big twist was David was gonna the frick the FBI daughter by the end of show. "not that i would blame him".
We never got any context of the redheads "friend" that had the photo of the missing kid with the birthmark on his face, that wasn't very present in last episodes.

I enjoyed this one.
Harlan Coban writes some entertaining and gripping mysteries stories that have God awful final twist/ending that would make Stephen King blush. I think I've seen 3 or 4 and was expecting to get to the eyerolling reveal like always.
******SPOILER BELOW******
My main WTF for this was "what on earth did this guy do to make the FBI, an international multinational organization, and Boston PD frame him for beating his son with a baseball bat just to kidnap the kid?"
and they actually handled that in a muddled weird answer that kinda made sense and I accepted.

Cast was pretty good on this one as well.

On the higher end of Netflix productions. Some off the wall stuff, but very entertaining.

Her friend posted a picture of her own children at the park, the missing child was in the back ground of the pic.

I liked it. Netflix has done an excellent job adapting Harlan Coben books. I recommend all of them.

It was bingeworthy, but cheesy and the plot holes were absurd. Also extremely unrealistic.
You have to just go with the flow and enjoy it for what it is.
SPOILERS:
1. I have a hard time believing a kid that was 5 when kidnapped completely forgot his family and name. I have a 5 year old son.
2. Absolutely no way David Burroughs could just continue to walk around Boston when there was a national/FBI manhunt to find him, a presumed child and cop killer, was on. And for a lot of it, they knew he was in Boston.
3. Wife and I, like third episode in, felt like Hayden Payne was in on it.

The mob boardwalk scene in Florida Keys was the most ridiculous thing among so many ridiculous things in this show.
Still pretty fun watch all things aside.
The dad and daughter thing was hilarious.
