I mean they ruined my favorite character - Tyrion.

He has literally done nothing to deserve the treatment he gets as a strategic genius. He's been wrong consistently, and for an encore he killed his friend to support a murderous lunatic.

Good job, genius.

She's definitely gonna try and kill Tyrion now right?

She had disregard for everyone in the city, including all her beloved unsullied, dothraki, Jon, etc.

Does she have anyone in her corner anymore?

As dumb as I think the Dany heel turn is, the Jamie ending might be the biggest sin of the show to date.

I cannot believe presumably intelligent people can't come to grips with the Dany heel turn. Jesus Christ.

Dany snapping at the sound of bells, Scorpions being overpowered one episode and worthless another, dragons being worthless one episode and wrecking shite another, Tyrion's whole arc, Jamie's sudden turn after screwing Brienne, Varys getting dumb, Arya gaining superpowers one episode and worthless another. Dothraki pretty much killed off in one episode to abundant in another. A horse magically appearing in a burned city.

I'm sure I could keep going, but you get the point.

It pretty much takes a piss on her entire arc to this point. She learned nothing since she was a teenager who thought the world owed her something.

Why did I waste hours of my life watching her frick around in mereen if she’s just as bad as the Slave owners. Why did I have to hear her and other talk about she’s different than her brother and father for 7.5 seasons but at the last second actually she is just like her father and brother. It completely undermines her entire build to that point.

We got 7 beautiful seasons of him slowly realizing that Cercei isn’t what he thought and that there is more out there and gets to redeem for his past

*nuts in another chick*

Overall I am not happy with this season. They should have spent the entire season on the Night King/White Walker war that would have allowed a lot more time for character development and ways to better end storylines and the have a 9th season to have the battle for the throne again allow more plot development.

This year has essentially been D&D’s attempt to show off how big and how long of a battle they can put on a TV show at a huge sacrifice to real acting.

Jon and Dany have spend most of their time riding a dragon, avoiding each other and those times when they do the scene are short and awkward. Furthermore, Jon has went from this bad arse brooding leading to a pussy-whipped bitch that is running around saying “She’s our Queen” and “We have to obey her”...

They Spend 8 years building Dany’s character to NOT be like her father and suddenly in just one episode they make her batshit crazy…WTF?

Cersi did not plotting or scheming.they just plopped her has up in the Red Keep with her starring down expecting to win….

There are so many more rushed and poorly done plotlines to discuss. I agree with you on Arya. Very underwhelming apparent end to the little assassin story with her riding away..

He always kept going back to her. Always. He tried being a good guy for a cup of coffee...but he's always said he wanted to die in the arms of his woman, and in the end, he did

Redemption happened, just not in the way you wanted

I really don’t get this line of thought.

You could see the creeping insanity and sadism in her at least as far back as when she crucified the Masters in Mereen. It was amplified when she needlessly burned the Tarlys. The loss of Missandei and Rhaegal brought her to the brink. Then, in her moment of triumph, she saw everything she had striven for vanishing in front of her eyes because she knows that she’s not the rightful heir...and now others know it too. She just finally snapped. You could see it in her eyes.

I’ve been saying that every time Tyrion protests that “she wants to build a better world”, he sounds more and more like a man trying to convince HIMSELF rather than others. It’s been apparent for some time that, yes, she wants to build a better world...just so long as SHE gets to reign over it.

I don't get the complaints about Dany

She's always had a veneer of kindness over a ton of destructive insecurity and the leap from entitled to jealous and vengeful isn't a huge one. Plus she's a woman so I don't really see how any heel turn can be that unrealistic just as a matter of human experience.

Agree on Jamie, probably the biggest fault.

If you like action and want to disregard damn near every characters arc and the actual writing of an episode than yea it was a good episode. It’s funny Dany saying she wanted to the rid of the world tyrants literally 5 minutes before then goes and destroys the city and innocent people. The shittiest writing of an episode. Making the mountain impossible to kill was dumb, idk what the frick they were doing with Arya but that was dumb, and the dumbest of them all was completely destroying Jamie’s character and having Cersei die like that. Pathetic.

The people who keep going “that’s what’s they’ve always said” and “the signs have been there” have a complete misunderstanding on how good character development works

What is the point of any of this if no one changed? No lessons were learned. Everyone is exactly who they were in season 1 episode 1.

This isn’t Seinfeld.
