I just got a notification that my Hulu + live TV plan that I just purchased THIS WEEK because of the Disney+ bundle is going up in price by $10 a month starting next month, which completely negates the bundle pricing with Disney+. Hulu is getting hammered on Twitter about this. I guess I'll be dropping the bundle and moving to a different service.

I was just about to switch from sling to Hulu live because the value was there for the small price difference, now there’s no shot

I'm pretty pissed that I dropped my early adopter AT&T TV plan for this. They screwed me over.

just cancelled it. YouTubeTV is the last cheapest option unless you're a Sling user.

From $39 at the start of 2019 to $55 today.

I’m out as soon as I decide where I’m going next. What’s the point of streaming services when they nudge prices near cable?

AT&T internet ($50) + Hulu ($40) 1/1/19 = $90

AT&T raises internet $10 to $60 so I upgrade to fiber because it’s only $10 more and I figured it would fix Hulu buffering.

Internet ($70) + Hulu ($55) 11/14/19 = $125

Most cable subscriptions are what, $135 for a two year service agreement?

Yep. I'm about to the point where I'll just pay for live TV during football season and let it ride the rest of the year.

But does that include fiber internet?

The bare minimum cable package was 120/month with spectrum last time I signed up.

Channel lineup was fairly close to what Sling offered

No. I’d drop internet all together if I went to cable. I rarely work from home and we surf the internet from our phones.

Not like I would miss the Alexa and we’ve always talked about installing Nests but I wouldn’t add WiFi to save half that in electricity.

The problem is that they charge you for every damn cable box.

So am I getting Disney + as part of this increase? I didn't sign up for that. Or am I know just paying $10 more for no damn reason?

My wife and I both work from home and have a lot hooked up to the wifi... internet is a must.

Hulu live has been great so far, but this seems like crap.

How is Sling? Major buffering issues?

I'll keep it for the first month, but there's no way I'm paying $60 a month for it.
