How rewatchable would you say Game Of Thrones is?

I'd put it up there with LOST. Under Breaking Bad above Dexter

It'll likely be several years before I do a full rewatch.

Despite the ending, it's still a top 5 show that I would recommend when asked what series to watch.

I’d say it’s harder now knowing the final outcome. So much invested in the characters to know that it basically means nothing.

Extremely. They got lazy with the final season pacing and writing. That doesn’t make any of the many epic episodes less so.

I almost started rewtchimh season 1 recently because it was so good, but then I remembered, none of it really mattered and I didn't watch.

The finale season writing has ruined the re-watch.

Why put 80 hours into something that will just piss you off again.

I don’t think I can do it after knowing how it ends, why the frick would I go through all those episodes to have it end like this?

If I ever see the DDs I’m punching them in their mouths.

I don’t know if I’ll do a full rewatch, but there are some absolutely amazing episodes that I’ll watch over and over again.

The Rains of Castamere
Battle of the Bastards
Winter is Coming
The Door
The Children
Fire and Blood
Winds of Winter
Mother’s Mercy

I’m sure I’m missing a few

Don’t think I could rewatch the entire show start to finish knowing that shitty ending I’d have to watch again.

I’ll stick with top moments and clips on YouTube.

For those who think the final season or two ruined the series, the first few seasons are now less enjoyable than they were the first time around.

I, for one, am not of that view, but can see how the ending could ruin everything up until that point for those who are of that view.

Another option: lie to yourself about the Arya killing the NK bit and watch everything up until that point while concluding the Whitewalkers eventually take over all of Westeros.

The ending did sour me a bit but the great action and universe created is different than the other examples given by OP. It is unique in many ways. Plus they have very attractive women that don’t mind showing skin. Seeing Dany in a few scenes of season 1 will never get old.

I usually follow the crowd when it comes to TV shows. I don't have much free time to watch TV, so I wait for series to get a good run going and then wait for consensus opinions or advice from friends I trust. I suspect that's what a lot of people do in the streaming age.

I quit watching Dexter after season 4 because that's what people said to do. I've stuck through other shows that started slow because that's what people said to do. I watched Black Mirror episodes out of chronological order because that's what people said to do.

To this day, I have never watched 'Lost' because people whose opinion I trusted said, "don't start watching because it will rope you in and the ending is so bad it will make you hate investing all the time before". OK, so I'll just binge something else, like the Office.

I wonder if the terrible GOT final season will generate similar warnings. My brother just started it, and I told him to keep watching just be prepared to be disappointed by the end.

I’m looking forward to a rewatch. It’s been years now since I’ve seen the early episodes and I’ve forgotten so much.

Meh. It's not nearly as rewatchable as other shows touted as GOAT - The Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, or even shows like Mad Men or The Shield.

I'm still dealing with how bad the ending has been and may pick up a rewatch later this year or next year.

I'm a rewatch king. Having a poor outcome at the end does tamp down my interest in watching again. But, I've already seen most episodes 3 to 7 times. The month before the new season, I tend to binge the series.

Just don't see much interest watching this one again for a long time.
