My wife has a theory about this. Jake doesn't care about this bachelor Pad season, he's trying to re-ignite his reality tv career. Before the big break up he had this reputation of being Mr. Perfect and was "loved by all".
After that break up episode everyone saw him for the douche he is. He's trying to recapture that nice guy persona, probably because he thinks it will help him in the long run.
It was still a really stupid move.

pretty much. He is probably make more just to appear on this show than the winner of the season will get. He's just soaking up as much fame as he can get. He's still on vh1 trying to run a picnic table restaurant with 3 6 mafia and danielle staub last i checked also.

that chick is super ugly and shouldnt have ever been on the bachelor. Still not as ugly as the girl that guy from The Doctors picked though.

lulz because Jake is on there for one thing and one thing only. WIN BACK AMERICA's TRUST!!!
He can't stand that there are people in the world who think he's an insincere douchbag. It eats at him. he must be liked. This is all one big PR move for him. He thinks he's going to be an actor for real. He doesn't care about the money --he just wants America to like him again.

Makes sense. I didn't think of it this way. You could tell he was doing his best to put on a nice guy act. Plus on the private date with Jackie (I think that was her name), he definitely wasn't telling her that story, he was speaking to the camera basically.

The worst scene from the episode was Kasey hanging on the ledge of the pool after losing the competition and Vienna reaming him out for "not protecting her". "You said you would always protect me and never let me fall". Kasey-"do you understand that I couldn't feel my legs?"

and after she dogs him out, he pretty much starts planning suicide and she says "why are you being an a**hole? We promised not to fight on tv."

Are you insane? that was the best scene of the whole show. It was funny how he said "pack your bags" right away. you can tell all is not right on the homefront with those two. Kasy is goign to explode in a roid rage at some point. all the signs are there. broseph is not a stable person.

i had to rewind the scene where jake says hi to vienna to see if casey took off that jacket to imply that he was about to throw down. Such a tool. I promise he's never won a fight in his life or had a gf before.

He definitely says things that really make you believe he hasn't come close to having a real girlfriend before. The season preview looks awesome especially with him giving her a "promise ring". Can't get more high schoolish then that.

after the hot tube scene I envisioned casey going into a dimly lit bathroom by himself crying as he looked into the mirror---taunting himself "you couldn't even protect her! You let her go! she loved you and you let Jake win. you are not a man!"
