I'm just happy to finally have a show good enough that makes me sit down and watch it every week.

What an episode! The beginning when only the music was playing and you knew the king had died was such a great opening… and paired with that ending… wow!

Agreed. HBO can make as many shows as they want from this universe over the next few decades

I do have to ask as I can't remember what I read years ago, but in the preview for next week is that Daemon trying to tame a wild dragon....like say The Cannibal?

Agreed. This is the first season without much action at all and it still feels like epic must watch shite.

Decent show. I can see how this won't keep a lot of people engaged though.

I thought it was where Mysariah lived, but not sure.

A large segment of the population has lost the ability to appreciate/follow good storytelling.

I take that to mean good things are coming? I never read any books so I'm in this blind

I like the show. I've just talked to several people who claim it is too slow and boring

I honestly don’t see how you can claim it’s slow and boring at this point. Or really any point this season. There’s been little to no filler.

So time to start counting dragons:
Team Green--3? Can't remember if Daeron has one
Team Black- 6 or 7, but several pretty small.

Oh and as someone on twitter mentioned-- we found out who the beast beneath the boards was tonight.

Yes

And I have a very sneaking suspicion about a potential opening scene of Season 2 too.

For those that are curious, Rhaenys Velaryon’s dragon is Meleys. Nicknamed The Red Queen.

Meleys original dragon rider was Viserys I’s mother, Alyssa Targaryen. Just a little snippet from her history:

quote:

By 75 AC, Meleys resided in the Dragonpit in King's Landing, never ridden before. She was claimed that year by Princess Alyssa Targaryen. In 77 AC, Alyssa strapped her nine-day old son Viserys to her chest and took him flying on Meleys. She did the same in 81 AC with her second son, Daemon, within a fortnight of his birth. Meleys became riderless when Princess Alyssa died in childbed in 84 AC. In 87 AC, Meleys was claimed by Princess Rhaenys Targaryen. In 89 AC, Rhaenys flew on Meleys to Highgarden, to accompany King Jaehaerys I Targaryen further on his progress to the Shield Islands. When Rhaenys married Lord Corlys Velaryon in 90 AC, she insisted on arriving to the wedding flying on Meleys.[1]
