i dont care about the teenage angst angle.. what the frick does that have to do with the CIA and terrorism?

I hated it a few episodes ago, but at least the romance part seems to be over with for now. They showed it as a set up for upcoming events.

1. The campaign and ability for the Veep to get elected is about to be compromised because Dana is about to tell Jess (and maybe others) about the hit and run.

2. The teenage romance was invested in because one or both of them are going to be targeted and they most likely will die.

3. Dana is Brody's achilles heel, so whatever happens to her will elicit a reaction from Brody that could change his outlook.

The romance arc is basically driving this political storyline and also probably serves as an avenue to change Brody's overall mindset IMO.

I must have missed it last episode, but how did Brody explain the hole in his hand to his wife?

He said he went on a drinking bender, but he never really explained it.

Jess seems torn between finding the truth and keeping things status quo in a happy home and preserving Brody's political aspirations.

Anybody think Abu Nazir is going to just use Brody to go after the Veep's son in an eye for an eye battle? Or since mass death is his MO he wouldn't go there....thoughts?

The son will be a target - Nazir may use the guy with the sunglasses since Brody seems to not be getting the job done lately (or quickly enough).

The whole campaign/Dana/Finn storylines will have to intersect here as well.

My guess.

1) Hit and run costs Walden the election, forcing Abu Nazir to ditch long game plan
2) Dana and Finn will hash it out and split up
3) During the breakup phase they are together one last time, just so happens a bombing occurs at their school

or

1) Hit and run costs Walden the election, forcing Abu Nazir to ditch long game plan
2) Brody aids Abu Nazir in the setup of VP and or Finn's death, and Dana is "wrong place wrong time" victim of collateral damage

Or Brody could be in the dark completely... either way Dana is dead IMO

The firefight witnesses won't be an issue since they won't have any idea what they saw. They will assume it's LE until the real LE shows up and by that time the assault team is in the wind.

It will be interesting to see if Carrie can maintain her distance mentally while reeling Brodie in physically. I thing the odds are on "NO" for that one... but we'll see how strong she really is pretty quick.

I expect Brody to entertain, at the very least, the possibility of using her weakness for him against her.

She's professed her love for him twice this season and he hasn't had a single response

Poor Carrie...

I dunno... At the end of this ep, he used the same "tactical emotional response" she did earlier in the car.

That's true, but I'm not convinced yet. Their relationship is the most intriguing part of the show IMO.

Speaking of relationships, where the hell does the Mike/Jess/Brody triangle go?

Jess seems to be playing the "glue" role, Mike is off on his mickey mouse investigation, Brody doesn't seem to like/respect Jess very much.

Regarding the "new" terrorist... I have a hard time believing that Interpol or the Mossad have no idea who the guy is. The CIA needs to quit playing so close to the vest and start asking around.

You know what gets me? Frickin Carrie. Has to be the most unstable piece of pussy on the planet. Frickin crying emotional mess. There is no way she'd ever get hired by the CIA, much less manager of a Burger King. Frickin loon, man.

She's a super-genius that knows everything, though.

That fact that she's bi-polar makes her character the ultimate roller coaster and the perfect lead for this type of show.

Maybe he's one of Abu Nazir other sons (ie he lived and grew up on the compound and was never exposed to the outside world).

They have mentioned on the show that Issa was Nazir's youngest son.

Will never be. Showtime won't do Netflix.

Brody did double take on the cork board. He said he didn't know him but maybe he saw the Abu Nazir resemblance after thinking about it. Maybe he just brought up Bassel the bomb maker as an excuse.

I don't know why Bassel's pic was on the cork board anyway, Brody did mention he was dead on the previous episode.

Interdasting.

No. He didn't say he was dead until this episode.
