I have Jack Black singing Let's Get It On. I like the version in the movie better though.

I dated a girl (my own personal Charley Nicholson, in fact) who loved "I Believe When I Fall In Love With You It Will Be Forever", and I played 3 kinds of hell trying to find the soundtrack because that's what she wanted.

so, um, why not just buy Stevie Wonder's "Talking book"

One of my favorite movie soundtracks. Jack Black singing in the concert at the end is great.

"Believe me, I mean, I could do a top five things about her that drive me crazy but it's just your garden variety women you know, schizo stuff and that's the kind of thing that got me here."

That's my go-to quote whenever I start fantasizing about the single life.

Or whichever greatest hits anthology it happened to be on?

Because she wanted this particular soundtrack.

Trust me, if you had seen her, you'd understand. I was seriously punching above my weight class on this one (or so I thought). That's why she was MY Charley Nicholson.

"Laura's dad died."

"Oh, drag... wait, top 5 songs about death, the Laura's dad tribute list. Shananananana NA NA! Mother what a night it really was, brother what a night it -- angina's tough."

This.

And...

"The night Laura's daddy died. Sha na na na na na na na na! Brother what a night it really was. Mother what a night it really... angina's tough!"

Jack Black peaked in that movie and it was the first one he really "starred" in.

I actually watched this movie a lot during a post-college breakup. Now I love that line even more when I reflect back on it.

I don't own this movie but I really like it. It doesn't show much on TV. When it does show I'm in. With only having seen it three or four times, I think I appreciate it more every time I see it.

Don't find it on Netflix, Has a network been showing it?

Sundance has had it on the last couple nights.

I do own the DVD, though.
