Two years after departing the role, Henry Cavill is in talks to once again portray Clark Kent/Superman in films based on DC Comics, multiple insiders with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap.

The extent of Cavill’s return to the role — whether just for additional work to be done for the upcoming “Snyder Cut” of “Justice League” or for appearances in future films — has not been disclosed.

He's a decent actor and a great look for Superman. Hopefully he'll have better material to work with if he re-ups.

As long as he is still available to play Geralt, good.

Come on. He hasn’t acted worth a shite since Monte Cristo. I still don’t mind him as Superman but I’d prefer Brandon Routh.

Hard to believe that was him. He emoted more in that film than any other I’ve seen him in since. Like shite. He has played emotionless roles since.

He was made for The Witcher though.

Good. Hopefully it'll be a worthy script this time...

He is perfect for the role. He is that guy. He just needs better material.

I wish they would make the live-action film of Batman and the one armed Green Arrow whooping Superman's arse.

BvS doesnt count.

I don't think he's a very good actor (serviceable, sure), but I'm not sure there's ever been an actor that more looked the part than Cavill. That dude straight up looks like a drawing of Superman.

I think he does fine in his wheelhouse. The Witcher, Mission Impossible...he handles that stuff just fine.

He will probably never have range like Day-Lewis, Bale or Joaquin Phoenix, but he doesn't need it to be Superman.

He was fine in Snyder's versions, and those were probably darker and demanded more emotion than a Superman film should.
