Help me out with Youtube TV

I am still paying a shite load every month for Xfinity. I love the service but its very pricy and its time for me to do something about that.
How is Youtube TV operated? Do they send a remote or do I just use my Samsung TV remote? Now, I use the Xfinity TV remote which I love.
Is the channel changing in real time? Is it super slow is what I am asking
What about the Audio quality? I have a nice home theatre set up and wonder how the streaming sound quality is going to be vs cable quality.
And last, I noticed the best package is $82.99 plus what ever things I add on. Are there all those cable fees like I have with Xfinity? I pay at least 80 a month on stupid fees and taxes

Its nothing like a cable box its streaming I suggest you do a trial they offer. its far superior. you can use any streaming device to get it. apple tv roku fire stick all work fine

I cut cable (was Xfinity) and just use my TV LG remote and their apps for streaming.
Had YouTube TV for a while and it was actually better than Xfinity through our cable box which would stutter during sports. Later learned this was an Xfinity issue based on how they had our home feeds for TV and Internet coming in.
Currently just using streaming services I have included through cell phone or credit cards along with free services like like Pluto and over the air networks. I am not missing anything.
Will probably go back to YouTube TV for football season.
ETA: Like the other poster recommended, use the free trial they offer on your setup to see how it works for you. I also used the 3 day packages offered by FUBO for the last weekend of March madness.

Man one of my issues is that I absolutely love Xfinity. It has been spot on for me now for 5 years. Except the cost. I am adding on HBO and a few other channels and its a damn car payment. I have to do something.
I am using a fairly new Samsung 75" UHD tv and I have a nice SVS/Emotiva entertainment system connected.
I think I may try the 10 day trial. Do I run it just straight on my Samsung or am I going to need to by some kind of adapter?

Your TV should have a native app if it’s less than 10 years old

Do the free trial and play around with it.
You can set your guide from the app on your phone to what channels you want displayed and what order. You can delete the bullshite channels so they don’t even show up.
DVR is unlimited.

Start with the TV native app, but when you decide to stick with YTTV, Hulu, or whatever, get a dedicated stick (Roku, Fire, Apple, etc.) They're (except for Apple) cheap. The Roku remote is superior to any of my Samsung remotes, too. Native TV apps tend to be slow, and not as responsive as having a separate processor on a stick.

Man I have had zero issues with xfinity and I love the way the console works. I can find things easy, use voice commands and get great info on all movies and actors. Like I said, other than killing my wallet, it has been good.
I downloaded the free trial for 10 days and have it working. I have never used the voice commands on my samsung since I had the xfinity but I assume I can do voice commands with the samsung remote to control youtubetv.
I will download the app to my phone and play with the set up tomorrow. Thanks for all the help. Its not as fast as my xfinity but I honestly dont see a issue with the speed.

TV processors for apps are basically afterthoughts. It's why a $27 ONN stick from Walmart will feel more responsive.

Yep, you will get better response when changing channels or services from a dedicated streaming device like a roku. The video itself should be fine once running.
If I was replacing Xfinity full time with YouTube TV I would buy a stick for each TV just for quality of life.

It’s excellent. Unlimited DVR, 4K, phone access, tracks where you start/stop any program, etc. Get a Roku though. Don’t go through a smart TV interface/app.

The only thing I hate about YouTubeTV is that you can't punch in numbers to change channels. You have to scroll through channels to get to the one you're looking for.
Maybe there is a way to jump to channels, and TBH I haven't dug or searched on how it might be done. That would be my only gripe. It's still $90/month though.

I am hoping that with the roku set up, I can use voice commands to achieve the same thing. Xfinity has numbers and voice control and I use the voice control the most. It is a great feature.

You can prioritize the channel list based on your preferences. Most people only watch about 10 channels anyway and the rest are just clutter. I never really scroll past the opening screen because the top listed channels are usually the only thing I watch (ESPN, news, a few other favorites, etc.). Crap like the shopping network stays buried at the bottom.

Also once it learns your viewing habits, the Home Screen shows all your favorites and most viewed channels anyway
