Of course but "Gerry" played a show just for him outside the park.

All you can do is mock me because I misspelled Jerry's first name but you can't take away the special moment I spent with Jerry that day.

When I walked up to Jerry there was no one around except for me. He looked up at me and kept playing so I decided to stand right next to him on his left side only 6 inches away from him. He knew I was standing there and there was no one else around and he continued to play just for me. He continued to play for me for about 10 minutes until other people noticed him and came over to listen. Even after the entire band joined Jerry and they played several songs Jerry never moved away from me. He knew I was the first person who stopped to listen to him and he deliberately let me stand right next to him the entire time he played. He may have been also playing for the other people when they showed up but none of them got to stand right next to Jerry the entire time he was playing.

I already acknowledged I misspelled Jerry's first name and I corrected the mistake. Misspelling Jerry's first name doesn't make my account of what happened to me any less true.

You just wish something that cool happened to you.

What a great story. Thank you for sharing.

I have seen the movie several times and also have it on disk. The scenes on the train are great. Always laugh about Sha-na-na being included. Love the extras especially the lesser known tracks like Ian & Sylvia doing CC Rider and Lazy Days by the Flying Burrito Brothers.

Once is understandable. Four times lends credence to the thought that you might be full of shite.

You're just jealous because it happened to me not to you.

The extras were great because you got to hear some of the songs the lesser known groups played like Mashmakhan.

fun fact

by 1970 Garcia had gotten too busy to continue playing pedal steel with his other group, new riders of the purple sage. On the train trip he met the steel player for Ian & Sylvia, Buddy Cage. In 1971 he suggested Cage to John Dawson who hired Cage as NRPS’s new steel player, and Cage played and toured with them for the remainder of his life. It is Buddy Cage that you hear on Dylan’s Blood on the Tracks playing pedal steel

That was a fun fact. Since you mentioned Jerry here's Jerry and the Grateful Dead as I remember them.
