i am ashamed for Michelle Pfiefer to green light starring in this.

its not so much about being WOKE or "poor women are so misunderstood" lifetime-movie-of-the-week, its the writing as well. the writing is GOD AWFUL.

wtf was the point of adding in the scene with the fat black woman? it did nothing to advance the plot. just "here she is for a funny scene" and then POOF we never hear or see her again.

terrible terrible. the point of a christmas movie is to make everyone feel good that it gets resolved by christmas day but no..we had bitch-mom on the other side of the country getting drunk backstage with the Zazza host and sleeping off a hangover.

then when they brought the family in for the day after christmas it was more "oh hey, yeah i still hate my family and i'm going to walk off stage with a big frown when they show up"

the lesbo daughter was a horribly written characcter. nothing redeeming at all.

and i'm sure everyone bought that the overachieving asian girl was going to totally fall in love with the loser who didn't have a job because of his dance moves. :jon ham right gif:

and wtf was the weird fetish with the 'successful' sister's husband trying to get w/ her lesbo sister the whole time? that was super awkward and again, did they hire community college drop-outs to write the lines?

god awful.

Candy Cane Lane was my #1 shite Christmas movie but congrats, this may have knocked that one off.
