Is this gonna be like a new version of Peter Pan like Robin Williams Hook was or remake of the Peter Pan classic like they been doing?

weren't Hawkman and Hawkwoman supposed to be ancient Egyptians?

So no black people lived in ancient egypt?? Smh

For sake of the race argument of what color ancient egyptians were we will just say this Hawkman is one of the Kushites that conquered ancient Egypt, aka a black.

Well he’s an idiot.

There is only one obvious person for that role.

It's to pander. Why use the traditionally black characters to tell good stories when they can just do a lazy race swap to appease the critics and people who don't watch their movies.

The black people I see talking about these type of announcements are pissed because they see it for what it is.

Didn't Disney just send out a memo about this?

Why is it okay for a black actor to be considered for traditionally white characters, but not the other way around? Reverse racism is still racism.

I cannot fathom being an adult man and actually caring about this kind of shite.

Always thought it was weird that Disney hasn’t done a South American princess. So much potential with that.

Maybe an Aztec one that sacrifices thousands of people to appease the Blood God and win the favor of a prince!

My only concern is that they've made like 10 Peter Pan movies in the last decade. At this point, I've lost interest.

Shouldn't be that hard to be better than all of them. They've all been pretty bad. The the Hugh Jackman one was especially weird. When they reveal HJ as Blackbeard for some reason everyone is singing Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. Later on when they are making Peter walk the plank they are chanting lyrics from The Ramone's Blitzkrieg Bop. LINK
