Is there an actor who has been with the show the whole run?
The lead actress just left in season 19 and there are two remaining OG cast members left of the original 9.

It won’t stop until ratings are down. Guess women are still watching

I've not watched a single episode of this show and don't know anyone who watches or admits to watching it

Damn. My wife and I watched the first couple seasons back like 15 years ago. After a few seasons we lost interest. By that time the storylines were already getting goofy and the characters had all started fricking each other.
Same for us. We lost interest about 4-5 seasons in. The two main characters (Meredith and Asian girl) were just really shitty.

This was a really good show for about 6 seasons. Been a steady decline since then and I stopped around season 10. It's hard to imagine that was just the halfway point.

Exactly this. Think my wife and I held out a longer than you though. We were binging though.

Seems like they killed off a third of the damn cast in that plane crash and another third left, then Derek died and Meredith started looking old as shite. That’s about when we quit.

Yes the plane crash was when it was finally just too much for me and I started to dislike the show.

I think that was season 8 finale and I hate watched the next two seasons until Christina left then I was out.

Didn't Law and Order get 20 seasons?

20, then got +2 as an encore of sorts for 22 total. SVU is in Season 24 (current).

Gunsmoke also got 20 television seasons. NCIS is in its current 20th season (albeit without Mark Harmon).

So, the "unprecedented" part of the OP is a little bit hyperbole, but for any show to go 20 is impressive.

It isn't for a medical drama, however.
