Its pretty clear that the board isnt impressed with the critically acclaimed movies with Raging Bull (wtf guys), Chariots of Fire, Cinderella Man and The Wrestler all losing.
Vote for what movie you like more, we're not submitting this to IMDB to try and get our list put on their website, this is just for fun. The winner might not be the most popular sports movie ever to critics, but it'll be one, for the most part, likes.

Rocky's lucky the top half of that Region sucks. Whichever of the four movies that comes out of the bottom half will beat it in the semis
Its benefiting pretty good from its #1 seed. Probably the easiest second round matchup for it too. Elite 8 might not be so easy though.
The travesty of this roumd will be if Bad News Bears beats Eight Men Out. I dont think enough people have seen Eight Men Out and are voting BNB just because. It would be hard to watch those two movies back to back and say BNB is better.

Part of it is just how incredible a snap shot it is of the mid 70's, along with some incredible performances. BNB is one of my favorite movies of all times, not just favorite sports movies. Along with Rocky, it was one of the first to have the underdogs actually lose, instead of beating the odds and winning...which is why Rocky II pales in comparison to the original.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Eight Men Out, but it suffers, for me at least, from the fact that a couple of guys had obviously never picked up a bat before...namely John Cusack. That never works out well for me when it comes to baseball flicks. On the other hand, D.B. Sweeny, I believe, played some college ball, and Charlie Sheen was a decent ball player too.

Eight Men Out is no Raging Bull, The Natural, or even Bull Durham.
In spite of the humor, the first Bad News Bears is a solid sports movie with top notch actors. This isn't a VHS cult favorite, it was a real, successful film.

Fair enough argument. Very similar to how I feel about The Sandlot so I can see that.

No, you dont. I have a good relation with my dad. The only thing you've done is fail to see why someone could possibly have a differing opinion than you.

I like pretty much every movie left on the list. But that is near the bottom and and EMO is near the top. For this round, I think there is probably the biggest gap in between how much I like them so it was easy to pick. But BNB could win the next two rounds and it wouldnt surprise me and I wouldnt have an issue with it. Im just debating the movies, not really anybody else is voicing too much of an opinion. Except for the mr miyagi clown who is easily one of the worst posters on this board.
