I kind of see it going this way..

The first few episodes will be the Great War however that looks. Siege of Winterfell, multiple battles across multiple fronts whatever. I think we lose some main characters in this battle. Likely Beric, Brianne, Tormont, etc. Then it moves to the battle for the Iron Throne. I think the GC will have some loyalty to a Targ once they find out.

I think Jamie is the one to kill Cersei eventually, I know they are hinting strong at Arya but something tells me they will let the twins go out together or Jamie going out in a battle to save someone else (Jon, Dany, or Brianne)

For some reason I think both Jon and Dany live, killing off Dany in childbirth seems anti her character, and Jon getting whacked doesn't seem to fit the bill either.

When GRRM said bittersweet, I think he meant Jon and Dany carry on with their new child but, many many main and loved characters go out or ones seeking redemption finally find peace.

There are a lot of ways I can see this playing out, but, maybe he went the happy ending route? R+L didn't get to live out their love life, maybe Jon and Dany will?

Any chance Hot Pie comes out of no where and does something important? He has kind of fit in a role of pointing characters in the right direction in the past, would be a good ending for him to do something heroic. He's my dark horse for marrying Arya if/when Gendry dies.

The good guys win the Great War in the first 4 episode and then turn South in Cersie with at least 1 dragon in tact.

Cersie is abandoned by her sell swords (who see a dragon and say frick that) and decides to burn down all of kinds landing instead of surrender.

Jamie sees what she is gonna do, tells her to think of the baby and flee with him. She calls him dumb and says there is no baby. Jamie becomes the Queenslayer.

I like this. I think the only two things that could make Jamie kill Cersei would be her following their father's footsteps and attempting to wildfire all of Kings Landing, or her telling Jamie the pregnancy was a ruse to manipulate him. Why not combine them?

Arya kills Cersei using Jamie's face, chocking the life out of her.

We have to have Clegane Bowl at some point. If the mountain is near Cersei and Jaime will be there to kill her then that implies the Hound and Jaime will be the newest travelling companions.

I like the idea of Jaime being the one who strangles Cersei - if not tempers a great weapon by plunging it into her heart. And I think we'll see Jaquen H'gar reappear. The reunion between Jorah and little badass Mormont should be an interesting dynamic.

I am tempted by the idea that Tyrion and Varys will also have surprising parentage. But that might be too much "who's the father" for a prime time show.
