I just said that, but if thee end game in the story is for Varys to be against Dany, him being a traitor would be a good way to depict that on the show.
Even on the show, it's been noted that Varys doesn't necessarily work for one person but works for the "good of the realm". Who would he betray Dany for at this point that would be to the good of the realm? Jon?
I just don't see him siding with Ceresi.

She was literally toying with the best swordsman or woman in Westeros.
Let's not get carried away here. Brienne is a great swords-woman. But she ain't the best in Westeros.

Next week's preview kinda says different.
yep, but in the preview Jon just kind of stands there like a boss while a humongous dragon lands in front of him and roars.
I think that Drogon is going to respect Jon for not flinching.

I don't know if he was exaggerating, but Ramsey Bolton made mention of the fact that stories tell of Jon Snow as being the best swordsman in Westeros.

kind of lame to prolong Jamie's life right there.
He should of died IMO.

Or he senses that he has Targaryen blood.

Next weeks previews also showed Jon face to face with Rhaegal. We riddin'
Dany was riding Rhaegal in that shot. Maybe Jon rides Rhaegal and Dany rides Jon??

No, I think Jon just freaked when she asked him "Isn't their survival, more important than your pride?" That was the exact same question he asked asked Mance, when he wanted him to bend a knee to Stannis.
I think Jon is still trying to see if she'd be a good person to rule.

Yeah Jon is probably the best right now in Westeros.
But then you've got Tormund, Bronn, Beric, and The Hound that are still probably better.
The only reason she beat the Hound was he was sick or drunk or something like that in the fight.

Who would he betray Dany for

Jon I don't think is that great of a swordsman. Competent, sure, but he's nowhere near Jaime, Barristan, or the Hound's levels. Hell I'd take Brienne over Jon.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Iron Bank uses the Golden Company against Ceresi though since he mentions that they do their dirty work.

way to much plot amour to die

He won't choose Cersei. Show Varys who is shockingly genuine would choose Jon. I could also see Tyrion doing the same both in the show and the books.

So i've rewatched the scene a few times and still can't understand what Bran said in response to LF saying something about coming back to the chaos that is Westeros now. What is it that Bran said exactly?
