Accidentally clicked on this thread looking for the answer to my question and saw the responses. I'm going to stay out since apparently this event is huge and unknown and I haven't read. Only reason I posted it here is my friends who are book readers have mentioned the RW before without letting me know what happened(hell, I don't know whose wedding it will even be.) But some jackass on reddit last night posted some spoilers about deaths that would be huge(although it could have been fake as shite). Too scared to google for obvious reasons.

It's killing me not to know for sure so I just hope whatever happens does this season so I don't have to wait until next year or read the book this summer.

Eh, don't tell me specifically. I put 2 and 2 together because my roommate has told me the RW is when shite goes down in this book and on reddit last night some jackass commented in a thread about the actress that played Margery on an unrelated sub that two main characters(frick it, Jon Snow and Cat) would die next week. Not that it would even make sense for Snow to be at a wedding...

Please, please don't tell me if this even happens at the RW or any details. Just tell me if based on the progress of last few episodes, if the RW should be coming up in the typically huge Ep 9 or the finale. That is all. I'll trust reading the next couple of replies but I'm not going to check this thread again unless I get bored enough to read the books this summer.

Speaking of which...would I be fine to start on book 3 because I really don't want to read the first 2 1000 page books since I know what happens in the show?

I think you're doing yourself a disservice by jumping in at the third book, even if you already know the main events from the first two. Getting the different perspectives is useful and they're just fun to read anyway. Don't be lazy, yeah it's a couple thousand pages, but it moves pretty fast and anything worthwhile takes time.
