Not saying the PW will for sure happen but using Dontos at this point would be retarded. He talked to Sansa pretty fast after her saving him in COK. That was nearly two seasons ago.

On another note, I love that the Hodors are so fixated on how much dragonglass Sam still has. Think any of them even know that Obsidian is just a stone that can be mined? And not some magical element? The importance is that Sam now knows what kills the Others, not that he has some quantity of dragonglass.

the real question is do we see Jaime anymore this season? I don't see how he can make it back to kings landing before the wedding takes place

so episode ten we get Joffrey learning about the Red Wedding wanting to kill anyone who allied with Robb, Tywin says no so Joffrey grows a pair and criticizes him for his cowardly position in Robert rebellion, then a pissed off Tywin presents Joffrey with Widows Wail which he uses to cut up the book given to him by Tyrion, Switch screen to Sansa getting ready and gay Loras saying she should wear the veil with purple stones, then we will see the wedding with some pig jousts, followed by a Tyrion/Joff spat then the eventual purple faced Joff dying.

Closer towards the end (3-4 minute scene), and maybe have Jon being apprehended at Castle Black by Janos Slynt and Dany releasing Astapor.

We don't need all this. They just point blank poison him without bringing Sansa into it directly, and I'd say its more likely that Joffrey would serve Sansa Robb's head, which will make Tyrion completely flip his shite on Joffrey. This shouldn't take more than 6 minutes, plus another 2 or 3 with Sansa and Littlefinger.

None of these scenes are vital to the actual purple wedding and any of them can be shown in a matter of minutes.
Tyrion vs Joff has been set up a good deal in previous episodes. We'll see how far they advance the other storylines in Episode 9, but not having Joffrey's wedding this season will ruin a lot of the drama and tension they have been building towards it. And also lead to a season finale that will be pretty bare on material.

The show could easily introduce penny at a later date and still convey the same feelings and attitude.
If not, it would literally take one shot to show the 2 midgets at the wedding.

so when the credits of episode ten roll and there is no purple wedding will y'all believe me or are we going to have to wait till the blu ray is released to make sure they don't have this quick two minute event in the special features or deleted scenes
