Yeah it definitely left something to be desired. The bear pit was awesome. As was Robb's arse ( ). I enjoyed the interactions between Jon and Ygritte again. As well as Orell trying to make a play. Arya getting taken by the Hound was a bit anticlimactic for me. I'm definitely interested in seeing where this thing with Melisandre and Gendry goes though.

ETA: The Theon scenes portrayed perfectly what is only implied in the book though. Painful to watch.

Loved what Jon said about Ygritte wearing a dress.

And I'm in love with Ygritte. She's great. I'm going to be a great deal more upset by her death in the show than the movie. One of the things I think the show has done better with.

They still haven't shown Bran really warg at all. If they don't show him warg into Hodor while Jon escapes with an arrow in his leg as lightning crashes, I will be fricking pissed.

I've felt that way too. The wolves need to be brought back in the story more. I think if I asked a non-reader about the wolves they will probably have forgotten them by now.

I loved how they are setting up Shae, making her very sympathetic at this point

Don't worry, OLM went into their thread and cleared that up for them.

Nice. Will be good to see. I hope the scene is depicted as the book describes (from the God's Eye while lighning crashes over the wildling raid)

Definitely had a kind of meh reaction to this episode. I think I was looking forward a little too much to the bear pit scene and they jammed it in way at the end.

Honestly, I'm pretty upset they removed Jaime's dream sequence, since that was one of the greatest parts of the series.

the writers have said multiple times that they wouldn't be doing dream sequences other than bran. they were actually upset about doing sansa's rape dream before flowering

Solid episode.

Charles Dance makes me actually root for Tywin Lannister. He's such a good actor, who dominates every scene he's in. Just like in Alien 3... the show won't be the same once he dies.
