Yeah, Season 1 wasn't so much a Lannister win as Joffrey going absolutely bonkers. Even Cersei just wanted Ned to take the Black.

Eh. I like it because it allows episode 10 to resolve it a little and set up for next season instead of just leaving you hanging for 10 months. If the Red Wedding had been the last episode, I'd feel irritated all the way to next season.

Episode 9 has been the death and destruction episode and episode 10 has been the big reveal episode as in the dragons in season 1 and the White Walker army last year.

Ok so finale of season 1 was dany and the birth of dragons.
Season 2 finale was the crows and the reveal of white walker army.
So for this finale, is it safe to assume that there is going to be a different character with a reveal? I mean, I am fine with dragon stuff but maybe it's stannis and red witch, or we get margary's wedding and she kills him on their wedding night?

I think for most of the non-readers the song was intended the exact way we took it. I don't think we were all suppose to say "oh shite, it's that Lannister song, Starks are fugged." You were just supposed to know from the ominous music, something was about to go down. I think it was more intended as something you figure out after the fact and go "ahhhh clever."

Anyone else thinking about learning to read after next week's episode?
Don't know if I can wait until next year, especially since the season will end right in the middle of Book 3 and might not have that "complete" feeling most seasons of a TV show have at the end.

Yea I think I may start book 1 soon, my cousin has a copy
Now that I've seen the show i think i'll be able to keep track of who's and who and put a name to a face. Would have been way too confusing to do that without first watching the show (for me atleast)
