the crows did win, but barely. That man that's been an a-hole to Jon got killed by the redheaded/redbearded wildling. I was fine with that. Then that a-hole that came to the wall from the Kingsguard went and hid like a punk. Jon gave Sam a key and Sam went and opened a door and Jon's wolf came out and did some damage. It almost sounded like there was more than one wolf in the room...just based on what Sam said.

Well shite, so this was just the start? So it was just the group that was in Moles town that attacked. I'm assuming then that this storyline is going to run past this season.

the Moles town wildlings got inside Castle Black, the wildlings beyond the wall tried but got scared off when the giants got killed and the big wooly mammoth freaked out and stomped on somebody.

This episode was bullshite. Next episode should be great and 4 hours long as well since they have a ton to rap up that they just shite the bed on this episode.

Not 4 hours, they just have a lot to cover if they intend to finish the third book this season. Seems to me some things will need to be done next season.

without spoiling the show, did you hate it because it was only the wall fight and not other stories or was it just horribly adapted? keep in mind that they obviously havent shown the whole battle yet. but was anything butchered as you seem to imply? can you shed light on it without spoiling the show or is it too interconnected?
i mean thats why i like the middle ground vs hodor thread. you can learn the differences and insights without being spoiled.

I can't speak for him, I liked the action and thought that well done. I do wish they would have wrapped that story line up. Spent an entire episode at the Wall and Mance Rayder still has the Watch outnumbered 1,000 to one. You have to spend 10-15 minutes on that next week and not other stories.

yeah i mean thats obviously the biggest complain. its the second to last episode and you didnt advance all the other plotlines at all. it reminded me of the "blackwater" episode though. they clearly pick one battle for a season and focus an entire episode on it.
its possible they leave this wall plot unfinished and pick it up again at the beginning of the next season.
