Interview with Pedro
quote:
…the production of Game of Thrones actually put me in some pre-training before I went to Europe to start shooting. I was put intro some classes with a master of Wushu, an acrobatic martial art, and they put me with a master, his name is Master Hu, and he has a studio in Los Angeles where he sort of basically showed me the basics and taught me how to fight with a spear and twist my body around and move in ways I never thought possible. And this was a guy who actually did Shaolin movies with Jet Li very early in Jet Li’s career, and fought alongside him as his sidekick, so he was the real deal.
Then once I got to Europe and started shooting, there were really intensive fight rehearsals with me and the stunt team that was headed by C.C. Smiff, and other actors, and we did a lot of fight choreography and rehearsals. The Oberyn style of fighting is inspired by Wushu.

I agree there are readers in the non reader thread. There's no doubt. I rarely read that thread BC it's bull shite.

I like to lurk it for fun from time to time to see what their predictions are.

Forlorn
Vance apparently is show only. They left out the real Corbray from the books i guess because he was a pedophile

That beetle speech...
Did tyrion basically admit to killing orson? I realize he said he was kicked by a mule...
But the discussion leading up to that story was about how there is no word for cousin killing.

Orson Lannister isn't even a real character in the books...I'm just forgetting the speech even happened.

I think they were trying to remind you that Cersi was fricking her cousin when Jaime was a POW. Atleast that is how I took it, again that scene wasn't in the book.

I believe it was a cousin that Jaime killed in the camp when he was prisoner of the Starks. It was Jaime that threw up idea of no term for cousin killing wasn't it? I figured it was a nod back to that moment.

I can't be 100% sure but I don't think Jaime killed his cousin in the book either.

My take on the scene, was two brothers talking for what they believe could be the last time.
1) It was in contrast to the last conversaion between Robb & Jon, when they were talking about the duties and responiblities they both were about to have, acting Lord of Winterfell & member of the Knight's Watch.
2) Tyrion is on trial for regicide/kinslaying. He found out last week from Oberyn that his sister, and earlier in the show his father, believed him guilty of parricide/matricide. That leaves him the choice of suicide or if to get back at Cersi tells he Jaimie then he would be guilty of causing his cousin's death.
