So I'm rewatching the episode and I can't decide whether to trust the drunk fool or not. That necklace he gave Sansa was kinda crappy looking. Also, if Joffrey made him the castle fool, why would Sansa take so long to remember him from the tourny? Shouldn't he be goofing around court every day? And why would he feel the need to creep around? It's not like he's in exile.
I think that Lady Olenna Tyrell is going to want that necklace (The one the fool gave to Sansa) for Margaery's wedding.

Yes that is all correct
No spoilers intended, but they can't possibly have a kid now, can they?

In the next upcoming preview they showed Sansa at the wedding saying something like "there's the new queen" but I thought she sounded a bit pissed when the Tyrell's have been nothing but nice to her. I was trying to figure out why Sansa wouldn't be happy that Margaery is the new queen, maybe the old lady strong armed her into giving up the necklace.

I hate watching previews for the next episode so I missed that. But it may confirm my theory.

Also, what was the deal with that necklace? Why was the former knight making such a big deal about it.

I wouldn't want to be a fool and get caught talking with a highborn - especially one that is married to Tyrion Lannister.

It was a "thanks for keeping my head off a stick" gift. The big deal he made about it was that it was the only thing of value he had left in the world and thus the only way he could repay the debt so she had to take it.

Because it's the only thing he has left that he could offer Sansa to pay her back for saving his life.

I get all that, it just seems like that necklace has a value beyond just being the lone thing the former knight had.
I think it becomes a sticking point going forward, hence the scene with Grandma throwing the necklace off the terrace.
I've not read any books and accidentally posted in this thread, just fyi.

Who cares about Sansa, I want to get back to Melissandre.

Well, you'll get to see Mel next episode.
I'm pretty sure next episode, based on what I saw in the S4E2 preview, will focus on Bran, Theon, Stannis, and the King's Landing storylines. No Dany or Jon/Wall stuff in the trailer.

That poor bastard Theon, damn.

His is the one storyline that I don't like at all. Maybe he'll end up doing something important in the end, but so far he just drags everyone down.

I think we're supposed to enjoy watching Theon suffer, but I still feel sorry for him. If you cut off my junk, just slit my throat while you're at it.

His sister is going to get him, and I'm sure she'll win. After that, who knows. He has betrayed the Starks, and the Iron Islands will never be anything on the overall landscape of Westeros. But I'm sure he will play a role before the end comes.

I don't know. Her speech didn't fill me with confidence. Plus, isn't Bolton returning home to be Warden of the North? Wouldn't Theon's sister have to fight through his army?
I think they'll either kill him in front of her, or just torture him indefinitely. Or maybe she gets captured by the Boltons. As I said, I really have no idea where this storyline is going.

Theon is a great character.

that's a good point. Grandma was looking for a necklace and Sansa is given a blue necklace.
And to whoever said that Rob had a mentally challenged child, I do not recall that ever happening in book 1 or 2.
