Man, this one is hard to get through. Hard to pinpoint who is the dumbest character in the show between Jesse, Hank, Walt, Skyler and Ted.

It makes for great TV but good lord. Walt is a complete moron throughout the show. It's so bad it has been frustrating to re-watch. Moronic decisions at every single turn.

Season 4 is just brutal from that perspective.

It's pretty dang overrated.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good show but everyone acts like it's the pinnacle of tv. It's nowhere close.

Kind of agreeing in some ways.

So many very annoying characters.

Although Saul and some early Jesse are pretty great.

At least it peaks at the end unlike so many other shows that fall off a cliff in the later seasons.

Ozymandias is spectacular TV.

The son piece is just annoying and so unnecessary.

I've always said this. Admittedly, I didn't watch week to week, and I binged the whole thing in 11 days. But I am not sure I could've lasted week to week with how slow that show moved.

It's a great show, and there are some truly amazing episodes. But it is definitely overrated pretty bigly IMO.

Put me on the team that thinks that Better Call Saul will end up being better than BB once it's finished, and I say that as someone who was anti BCS when I first heard about it. But that's how good it is IMO.

As someone who loves both shows, I'm not sure why you would think BB was slow and not think the same about BCS (which i dont think either are slow)

I just remember watching and finishing a season and thinking back on what all happened, and it wasn't a lot. I remember thinking that waiting week to week for this to unfold would've seemed like torture.

And I'm not arguing that BCS isn't slow, but it feels a lot more put together and just overall better.

And FWIW, I didn't dislike BB because it felt slow to me. I just think it didn't live up to the hype I had heard about it.

I respect the show more than i like it so i understand those saying its overrated, but this criticism i think misses the point.

Of course he makes bad/moronic decisions. Thats kind of the story of his life, other wise he would have been filthy rich off "Graymatter" and married to Gretchen.

I think that tends to happen more when shows are binged, at least for me. When flying through a season you only really have time to think about and analyze the bigger plot lines. When its week to week, you pick up on more of the smaller details that add up at the end. There's a reason why Netlfix shows rarely take hold of the TV zeitgeist

I binged Sopranos well after it had aired, and I definitely could have said something similar about not feeling like a whole lot happened in a season by season basis
