Devil's Backbone: A ghost story set in an orphanage. It's in spanish and directed by Guillermo Del Toro.

Audition: Japanese thriller/horror. Really creepy.

Quarantine: Zombie flick filmed in pseudo-documentary style. I thought it was pretty good, it's a remake of the recent Italian flick REC.

Alien is great, if by chance you haven't seen it. The Thing is also good.

I second Rosemary's Baby, the Exorcist, and the Shining, all classics.

The Original Night of the Living Dead is excellent.

I second Invasion of the Body Snatchers

The Brood by David Cronenberg is a rather creepy horror.

The very first ALIEN movie. Classic. ALIENS is pretty good as well.

If you want a good campy movie, get CHUD, which stands for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers. One of Daniel Stern's first movies. Funny in spots.

"Evil Dead" and "Evil Dead 2". Sam Raimi before anyone knew who he was (pre-Spiderman). Weird mix of great scares and some humor...don't waste your time with "3" if you're looking for scares, just a campy humor flick--I enjoyed it though!

I agree with the Exorcist 3, after seeing #2, which was a total waste, I waited years to see 3--great flick.

I don't consider #2 to even be a part of the series. Different writer and director. Just garbage. 3 is a legitimately good movie with a great cast (George C Scott, Brad Dourif) and great cinematography.

Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis is the best. I also recommend Pet Semetary and Friday the 13th.

I still love Pet Sematary. That scared the shite out of me when I saw it at the movies in 1989.

I thought of 1 more. You have to watch the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Absolutely terrifying. Wouldnt watch it again in the daytime with a house full of people.
