IMHO opinion the actual court case at the end was a let down. The journey there was the real entertainment of the series.

I feel the opposite.
If this show didn't have the goofy managing partner character it would be a lot better. That is just too much for me.
I would have really enjoyed Billy Bob's character in a more realistic setting.

Absolutely agree. IIRC, there was no flow and the presentation of evidence wasn't very compelling. All of a sudden he gives his closing argument to lead to a very anticlimactic ending. It was just so rushed.

Billy Bob Thornton gives a great performance as genius alcoholic screw up lawyer. The show itself is kind of a combination Erin Brokovich little attorney taking on a Megacorp and then the law firm he's going against is the one he started before his life spiraled out of control so there's a lot of personal grudge match legal dueling as well. This is one of the better Amazon Originals that they've made.

I'm seriously confused by this. His character is goofy and over the top as hell. Absolutely ruins the show.
It just doesn't make sense in any context. Reminds me of the The Judge Dan Aykroyd played in Nothing but Trouble
