Also it is an insult to portray a Muslim converting to Christianity.
Why is that an insult, if you’re a Christian like you say, miracles happen. Why on earth would that be offensive? If I watched Muslim produced movie and a Christian converted to Islam I wouldn’t be insulted, there’s billions of people in this world and they flip their faiths all the time. Is what it is

Why is that an insult,
I am not the one insulted. It is an insult to Muslims. Why show a Muslim being converted in the first place. The movie is about the arguments against atheism. So the point is to compare the way she stood against her father’s pressure to conform in the same way Josh stood up to his professor but with no material context about why she chose to leave her family’s cultural heritage. As a believer we understand her decision and maybe those who have been punished throughout the years but it comes across as a straw man argument. Muslims would view this the same way Americans would view the way Americans/British are portrayed in kung fu movies

Not the same. From a Christian perspective, Jesus, despite being all-powerful King of Kings, allowed himself to be executed and preached that his kingdom is not of this world.
Islam teaches jihad. Mohammed himself was a warlord.

If you think this, then you’re not a Christian.

I couldn’t help but think how offensive it must be for Muslim’s to have themselves portrayed as bigots and abusive towards their children.
Hmmm...is it though?

Does being a Christian require you to be intolerant of others beliefs?
Yes. All other beliefs lead to hell. As a Christian, you should love people enough to not want that for them. That means you cannot tolerate beliefs that will lead them there.

I found the ending very insulting. It was the moral equivalent of when a kid loses a parent and someone says to them at the funeral, “they’re in a better place now”
Right. Being old, feeble, wracked with cancer and pain in this shitty world is much better.

I’m sure you’d throw a shite fit when you see a movie or show stereotyping Christians,
AKA every other movie.

I have noticed Christian movies have gotten a ton better in the last decade.
To be fair, that was a low threshold.
