Well, they've done it...

They've successfully made every single character on the show loathsome

It's kind of all hype and no substance. I want to like it, but its just not very good. I like what she's trying to do, though. Maybe it'll get better.

nah, I don't think it's nearly as bad as most people make it out to be.

That sex scene with Adam and the new girl was awkwardly interesting.

Also, HBO is locked in on Girls. So the show isn't going anywhere.

I don't understand how the characters have gone from relatively normal and interesting to the COMPLETE opposite. And is Jessa off the show? I know she got prego (I hate myself) IRL so is she just gone until she has her kid?

The sex scene with Adam and the girlfriend was interesting. I haven't quite wrapped my mind around it yet. Was he trying to push her away because he was scared of the way things were progressing? Was it just Adam indulging his typical odd sexual urges? I'm mulling over a couple different theories at the moment but I can't decide on one.

Charlie/Marnie was a total pity screw.

Hannah was her typical dysfunctional self.

They did the same thing with Adam earlier in the season when he went to jail. We see him get arrested, then no follow up for weeks.

It is strange that Jessa would vanish from her dad's house and we get no explanation of wtf happened.

Also, the whole Charlie story arc is a massive stretch. The guy was a total loser sleeping in hand-made bunk beds at the beginning of the season, now he's running an upscale business with what looks like dozens of employees, all straight from Abercrombie ads. Please...

With that said, I weirdly liked this episode.

they really did turn adam into a psycho, lol. shosh, too. they really did just take all of these characters who were horrible people and just make them all total crazies this season.

Thats where i'm at too.

Adam and Shoshanna were the last two decent people, or at least characters you could root for. Shosh is now a cheater who's just looking for a way to crush her BF.

Adam got a major upgrade from Hannah and decides to have her crawl across his apartment.

If he wasn't such a pansy he'd be ok. But he's been letting Marnie walk all over him since the show started.

So did anyone else think that shite was about to get real when Adam ordered a drink? I mean, I guess it did, but it wasn't quite the shitshow I was expecting.

he's just a minor character though...really he's just stimulus for marnie more than his own character

i didn't even think this was a bad episode, but i do think it further reinforces the notion that dunham has no idea where she's going and is going for the easiest ways to create conflict. that road is making everyone crazy

He acted the way i expected. He completely lost it after seeing hannah. Which is probably why he fricked the new girl the way he did.

On a different note, I'm having a sim-argument with a friend of mine about how Lena Durham has handled this season.

I think it may have been partly him seeing Hannah but also the way the new girl reacted to the state/appearance of his apartment. Deep down he has insecurity issues so her showing seeds of judging him and/or making him feel as if he wasn't good enough for her led to the "get on all fours" deal IMO.

This was quite a crazy episode.

Marnie singing Kanye was painfully awkward.

i was going to say that last night but i had to go to sleep. i think it was as much about his apartment as anything else

ULTIMATELY, this is just a path to have him be all like "omg i mesh with that crazy fat bitch hannah"
