Was wondering the overall census on this series according to the MB. Worth the time?

It doesn't have the gravitas of BoB or The Pacific, but it is sneaky good. You'll enjoy it.

Wish more people would watch it. It’s a very good series.

Yes, I loved it.

It's really a musical at heart

I was pretty disappointed in it. It's not that it's bad really...I enjoyed it well enough. But I guess I had heard nothing but praise about it and went into it expecting one of the best series ever. And it just fell super short for me. I found myself bored through a lot of it actually. And I really wanted to like it.

I don't equate those two. BoB was far superior. That doesn't mean Pacific was bad.

But yes Generation Kill isn't like either of those. Much more cynical, but that's probably appropriate.

I liked it a lot.

I mean it kinda has to be. In one you’ve got the 101 airborne fighting the nazis. The quintessential real life bad guys. In the other you’ve got guys that want to be like the guys on BoB but they just aren’t fighting a villain anywhere close to nazi germany and they know that. But that’s part of the fun to me. You can sort of tell they realize they aren’t fighting anyone that threatening and it kinda pisses them off
