Ygritte is gonna be Jon's undoing. I love watching her interact with Jon, she has him wrapped around her finger and he doesn't even realize it yet.

Any thoughts on why Ayra was so inept with the sword in the few seconds it took Thoros to disarm her? What happened to all the instruction she received in the last season from her dancing master?

Agreed, Screamer. Maybe she just wasn't expecting the strength of the blow and that loose grip she was taught wasn't enough. It felt weird to me. It could have been a ploy, I guess, but I can't figure out the why of it if that's the case.

I was curious about that as well. Maybe it had something to do with it being a much heavier sword than Needle. Though Thoros seemed to have some pretty good moves himself.

FWIW, the wood sword she trained with was heavier than Needle too. And clearly that sword, or at least her instructor's, was sturdy enough to parry some blows from castle forged steel. So...

She commented on it in her first session with him, she struggled to hold it out. I only recall because I watched seasons 1 & 2 this week.
